"Hanging out in the attic was a great idea", said Whisper while rummaging around in the old trunk of vintage clothes. "Why, some people think this place is haunted, and that the ghosts like to come up here and smoke cigars and play poker."

Whisper is questing! Episode 2/25

"You know, Ratfink, with a kitchen this size, you would think that you'd have some better snacks on hand" complained Whisper.
You know, if you just reach over on that shelf and hand me the fly wings, I have a pot of soup almost ready, I'm sure it'll fill you right up, replied Ratfink.
Whisper gagged a little and handed over the jar, at the same time filling up on candy corn.

Whisper is questing! Episode 3/25

"LOOK AT THE TIME!" yelled Whisper! "It's time for the fright fest!"
The friends piled into the living room, careful to grab snacks that were pre-packaged. Ratfink grabbed a bag of chips, but kept leaving to check his soup, and oddly, where did Aye-Aye go? Not in the soup I hope!
Gulp! What is that banging! Is that the TV? Turn the volume down!"
"EEK! I bet it's a ghost!" yelled Whisper!

Whisper is questing! Episode 4/25

Scrambling to the window, the friends peer into the darkness of night to see who, er, what? might be knocking on the door. Imaginations running wild, they all whisper at once, calling out they spotted ghouls and chimera! Whisper was convinced Mike Meyers was out there in the marigolds!

Whisper is questing! Episode 5/25

Ratfink was just a little too high strung at times, had grabbed a knife out in the kitchen when he was stirring his soup, which smelled delicious, but the other friends are a little leery to try without knowing what was in there. After settling back on the couch and watching more fright night when a loud BANG! BANG! startled Violet and Toby. What is going on?

Violet suggested that they take the bull by the horns and each friend got a flashlight and went to investigate the pounding. Skittering shadows slunk deeper into the night, caught in the flashlight, but nothing showed up that could have banged on the door!

You know, Violet, since we're already outside, we should go over to old lady Perkins! She loves Halloween so much, she gives out candy every night! And, we can score something to eat that wasn't prepared by Ratfink, said Toby.

And just like manna from heaven, there's candy raining down on the pets, and rejoicing commences!

"I haven't got my 10k steps in yet," said Toby, so the friends headed off for a walk.
S-C-R-A-P-E! S-C-R-A-P-E!
"What was that?" asked Toby!

"RUN! RUN! RUN! GO! GO! GO!" cried Ratfink, and like leaves in the fall breeze, they scattered to hide in the playground.

After the terror of the moment passed, the friends gathered back together, on the merry-go-round. Oddly, it was only at that moment that Violet reaized Whisper has been missing for some time? And a shiver flew up her fur and she silently wondered if the night beasts got a meal?

And just like that, while they were discussing the disappearance of Whisper, and what was that noise, a howling scream rent the night like a knife! Haunted screams? A train in the distance? New siren noise? The friends aren't willing to stand here to find out!

Whisper is questing! Episode 13/25

Violet was pretty upset they were running, yet again, because she forgot to put her PetFit on and all these steps were going unrecorded! Ratfink flew into the bodega and started filling the shopping cart with snacks and treats. Toby wondered if that was his diet, how he didn't go into sugar shock!

Whisper is questing! Episode 14/25

At the check out, Toby told the cashier about their strange noises and loud bangs, and the Cashier told them the most chilling story!

"About 10 years ago, there was a strange young man, who lived on the outskirts of town. A loner, for sure, but one summer in a hay baling accident, he lost his arm. Now, that wasn't too terrible, but he later sought revenge on the people who tormented him..."

Whisper is questing! Episode 15/25

"One by one the locals started disappearing! When their bodies were found they had been carved with a symbol of a hook! The police never had concrete evidence that old Joe was doing the killing, mind you! And then he disappeared! No one saw him again, and the killings stopped. But every Halloween, some poor unfortunate soul winds up dead, carved with hook symbol. The pets around here say it's old Joe, fulfilling his urges. There was one survivor a few years back, and he said that right before he was attacked, he heard loud BANG! BANG! BANG! on the door, and after looking outside, heard a strange S-C-R-A-P-E! noise. No one really knows if the stories are true!"

Whisper is questing! Episode 16/25

Grabbing their bags, the friends dash off in a flurry of conversation, wondering if that was true or just the clerk trying to scare them even more! And Toby said it couldn't be true, but by the same token, they didn't dwadle on the way......

Whisper is questing! Episode 17/25

Taking the short cut home, they walked through the forest, keeping keen eyes looking out for anything suspicious. Ratfink, being a bit of a jerk, hid behind a tree to scare the others, and ended up scaring himself!

Whisper is questing! Episode 18/25

Having worked themselves up into a frenzy of fear, Violet locked every lock, latch and hook on every door and window. Toby and Ratfink told Violet that maybe it was time to call the police about this situation!

The police showed up and checked the perimeter of the house, doing everything by the book! Violet watched them searching everywhere for old Joe, or whatever was making the noises!

Whisper is questing! Episode 20/25

And just as Officer Barry was taking a formal statement from Violet, the BANG! BANG! BANG! started over again! Officer Ted grabbed his taser!

Whisper is questing! Episode 21/25

The pets and of course, nosy neighbors who saw that the police were at Ratfinks (again many noted!), followed the police around every side of the house, looking for the source of the banging!

Whisper is questing! Episode 22/25

And just like that! The police scuffled a stranger to the ground! Meanwhile, Whisper yelled, "Does he have a hook?"

Undercover Officer Piggly Wiggly uncuffed the poor paper bunny, who explained he was just trying to collect the $2.00 he was owed for last weeks delivery. He didn't mean to scare everyone!

Whisper is questing! Episode 24/25

With the paper bunny visiting, and Officer Piggly Wiggly back undercover, the friends all retreated inside, still wondering if old Joe was out there searching for his next victim or if was really the stuff of urban legend....

Bunny gives Whisper the change from the money given to him, 20GM in overpayment, since the bill was only $2.00
