And low and behold, there in the back corner, were the most beautiful ornaments of burgundy anyone (or pet) had beheld! He was convinced he was dreaming until he snapped awake and realized his cookies were gone and he didn't have any aftertaste of gingerbread....

Malcom asked who made these little beauties but the elfin clerk just didn't know.

With the new JPhone tucked in his vest pocket and encased in a new BotterBox, (waterproof!), Maclom came across Count the Piggle Bassist jamming on the corner, with his silk top hat on the sidewalk for donations. Malcom was still scraping up funds trying to cross off all the shopping on his list, but an artist is worth their craft, and he dropped a few GM and a handful of SM into the hat. Count wailed out a snazzy thank you, and Malcom found a new swing in his step and hope in his heart that things would work out.

Early the next morning, Malcom's boss said he needed some volunteers for a special job assignment, and Malcom jumped at the chance to do something different! What a surprise it was when he heard that he and a few friends would be doing maintenance on the pump at the well at the town square where they put on the Live Nativity!

Some good teasing and ribbing bolstered Malcom's confidence that he got the right outfit for his "Santa" duties, and he strutted off to find more gifts!

So after conferring, the little scamps decided it would be better to be a pet-companion than dinner!

The group home held their annual gingerbread house competition and Malcom's team took home the grand prize! Here's a picture with him and his elfin buddies who crewed the build. The judges really gave them first place because it was an actual gingerbread house that everypet could live in. Malcom was hoping that it would be his new home with his love, Angelina!

She said in a tone of wonder that she was the creator and crafter of all the specialized ornaments that Malcom bought her, and that if he could find the beauty of her crafts as appealing as she did, they had truly found true love! And with a resounding YES, Malcom and Angelina were engaged on Christmas Eve.
