Spring is such a lovely season on the farm. The snow has melted. Everything is coming into bloom and all the newborns can be seen off playing together and exploring their new surroundings. How wonderful such new beginnings can be. Skye Why don’t you come play?

But what is wrong over in the chicken coop?!?! Poor Margaret is crying her eyes out! It seems the last egg she laid has yet to hatch. Worse, it even appears to be deformed! She can hear all the other animals talking about how she is at the end of her prime and that she is going to be shipped off the farm soon and this only makes her feel worse and cry harder. All this nonsense does not sit well with her partner Randy the Fire Rooster who asks Skye for any suggestions. It may be a long shot but together they decide to take the egg on a trip to show it the best things in life in hopes of convincing it to hatch.

At a loss as to what to do Randy and Margaret decide it is time to make a phone call. Thankfully along the road they find an old school phone booth and call their dear old friend Bob to ask him his opinion. They want to know what the scariest thing Bob can think of is. Why you ask? If nothing else is working maybe they can scare poor Eggie into hatching.

In desperate need of a break they find a café to get a little pick me up. Margaret takes a seat while Randy goes in to place the order. Sitting down saving the table Margaret realizes a newspaper was left by a former patron so she starts flipping through it to pass the time and distract herself. Hidden in the ads she learns some exciting news. In France of all places, at the Louvre is a special art exhibit that just may be the solution they have been looking for! She squeals with excitement and looks for Randy. He could hurry back with that coffee so she could share the news!

So their next stop sent them to a travel agency. They need to get things arranged ASAP! They need to book the flight and hotel and get tickets to the exhibit. Oh no! RELIEF! Everything is booked. Their agent came through and got tickets arranged for everything. So they have decided to spend the night back on the farm to get a good night’s sleep. Due to it being a international flight that leaves at 6am they need arrive quite early at the airport so they opt for a quick dinner and tuck Eggie into bed in its cradle nest. They too will turn in shortly and hopefully get some sleep if they excitement lets them. Even if this does not allow Eggie to hatch at least they got a trip to France.

With some difficulty due to Randy pretending to be fluent in French and relying on an app with a poor accuracy level and not wanting to allow anyone to help him they finally made it to their hotel. What should have taken 20minutes ended up being 2hours but they made it. And it has given Margaret more gossip for in the coop. Thankfully she took over and tipped the taxi driver.
