Navy Flower Power Egg
The first painted eggs came from Mesopotamia, and because eggs were forbidden food during Lent, people painted eggs while Lent was being observed—after Lent, they would eat the eggs on Easter Day.

Futuristic Sunrise in Pink and Purple
It's like living in a computer-generated world where the sun when it rises is dusky pink and the ground is a grid of neon purple lines, which stretches out endlessly towards the horizon.

I called an old school friend and asked what he was doing now.
He replied that he was currently working on aqua-thermal treatment on ceramics, aluminium and steel under a constrained environment.
I was impressed...
On further enquiry, I learnt that he was washing dishes with hot water under his wife's supervision.

The first laser was actually a MASER. A MASER, which stands for Microwave Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation, is essentially like a laser but light given off isn't visible light -- instead it's microwave radiation. The first maser was discovered by Townes, Basov and Prochorov who won the Nobel Prize for this discovery in 1964. The first maser was built at Columbia University.

Laser light is also coherent, which means all the light coming out is in one direction and the rays are parallel to each other and are in phase.
