*POOF*

“Where are we? What happened?”

“I have no idea Spike. I think I hit my head. Worse yet, I spilled my coffee!”

“Where are we?!?”

“Look over there! Is that a bunny? Maybe we can ask them what is going on and where we are.”

Epilogue is questing! Episode 2/25

“Hey there Lil Bun. My friends here, Epilogue, Half Caf and I, Spike, are a little lost. In fact, we don’t know quite what happened. We were at home just shooting the breeze talking about how we would love to eventually go into the grown up pet world and find ourselves and suddenly we were here. But we don’t know where ‘here’ is.”

“Ahh, that is easy.” replied the Lil Bun. “You are in Rabbit Hollow. It is where all the bunnies reside in comfy warrens. We have quite the community here. Would you like to come in for a meal and something to drink?”

“Sure! I don’t know about my friends here but this has worked up my appetite and I spilled my drink!”

Epilogue is questing! Episode 3/25

“Here, while my partner gets lunch ready let me show you our garden.”

Out they all went into the expansive Bunny Gardens.

“Wow! This is quite impressive!” exclaimed Spike.

“Oh yes. Every bunny works here to ensure we have enough produce to last us.”

“So, umm, what do you do for fun around here?” asked Half Caf.

“We garden.”

“Oh…” Half Caf, Pike and Epilogue all looked at one another.

Epilogue is questing! Episode 4/25

“Oh look! Lunch is ready! Let’s go inside.”

Inside was an impressive spread of nearly every vegetable imaginable. And of course, there were carrots aplenty.

“Would you care for something to drink?” asked Lil Bun holding a carafe.

“Of course! I would be delighted!” replied Half Caf. Taking a sip, Half Caf sputtered, “What is this?!?”

“Carrot tea of course. Only the finest for our guests.”

Epilogue is questing! Episode 5/25

Spike, Half Caf and Epilogue were whispering among themselves as they ate the veggie spread.

“Look, this just does not feel right. Gardening for fun?”

“All you get to eat here is vegetable this and vegetable that. And worse yet, carrot tea!”

“I don’t know about you guys,” said Epilogue “but I want to go home. I miss my family and friends.”

“We just do not belong here. But how do we tell Lil Bun? They have been so gracious?”

Epilogue is questing! Episode 6/25

*POOF*

“Oh no! Not again! Where are we?”

The friends looked around and it appeared they were in a forest full of mushrooms.

“What is that twinkling?”

“I don’t know but I wanna go home!” cried Epilogue.

Epilogue is questing! Episode 7/25

“Why hello there.” Called out one of the twinkles as it landed in front of them. “Who do we have here?”

“Ummm, I am Spike and these are my friends Half Caf and Epilogue. Might we ask where we are? We have no clue how we got here. We were with some bunnies and then suddenly we were here. We are all a little disoriented.”

“Well that explains how you appeared out of the ether. You are in the Mushroom Fairy Forest. Come. Come meet my friends.”

Epilogue is questing! Episode 8/25

The friends followed the flitting fairy as it flew through the forest and before they knew it they were in a clearing of the forest where mushrooms still grew but there were houses and cauldrons and lots of items that could only be described as sparkly items.

“Is this your home?”

“Yes, we all live here and together we brew up magical potions to keep the forest alive. It is so much fun. A new experiment every day!”

The friends looked at one another: To them that sounded like work and continual cooking. Not much fun at all.

“Please join us for a feast. We have enough to share.”

Epilogue is questing! Episode 9/25

There were no tables and chairs for them to sit upon. Instead there were logs and stumps that the friends sat upon. Various fairies brought them mushroom upon mushroom. Every course of the feast was a mushroom of sort!

“Let us have something to drink. Let me get the coffee.”

“COFFEE!” exclaimed Half Caf. “Yes please!” He still was hurting over his spilled coffee from earlier.

Epilogue is questing! Episode 10/25

“Sputter! What is this?!?! This is not coffee!”

“Yes it is. It is mushroom coffee! It has incredible health benefits and is very good for you.”

Half Caf stared at the fairies in disbelief. Mushroom coffee? That was a thing? This truly was not a place for him or his friends. This would not do. They did not belong here. How would he survive drinking mushroom coffee?

Epilogue is questing! Episode 11/25

*POOF*

“Awww…c’mon! I just wanna go home!” exclaimed Epilogue.
Before their eyes was a vast frozen tundra of snow and ice.

“Well at least this place may be hospitable to penguins but what about me? I want to be home with my friends and family. It is so cold here and it looks deserted!”

“Let’s explore a bit and maybe we can learn where we have ended up and how we can get home.” said Spike trying to calm poor Epilogue.

Epilogue is questing! Episode 12/25

The friends climbed over a hill of ice and in the distance spied what appeared to be a colony of penguins.

“Hey Half Caf, this may be the place we are looking for! Look at all the fellow penguins there. They seem to be having so much fun playing in the snow”

“It does look like fun, but I may need a scarf and toque. It is slightly chilly.”

“What about me? I wanna go home!!!”

Epilogue is questing! Episode 13/25

“Hi there! Sorry to interrupt you all. My name is Spike and these are my friends Epilogue and Half Caf. Somehow we were transported here by some unknown portal on the other side of that mountain and we saw you playing and we wanted to introduce ourselves.”

“We are trying to figure out where we best belong and well this looks like a grand place for penguins like us. And, well, maybe Epilogue could learn to love it here and maybe their family and friends could come for visits”

“But, but, but!”

“Welcome! You have landed in Petarctica! Come join our colony. My name is Captain Anders. Let me show you around a bit.”

Epilogue is questing! Episode 14/25

Captain Anders and the friends went waddling off through the snow.

“Here you can see we have our younger members in the crèche. They love to make snow pets when the snow conditions permit.”

“Awww, they are so adorable!”

“Look at that napping one. It is even snoring!”

Epilogue is questing! Episode 15/25

“Oh good! It looks like lunch is ready! I see our partners returning from sea there. Let’s head down. Get ready for the finest feast you have ever had.”

With that the penguins flopped onto their bellies and slid down the hill leaving poor Epilogue to come tumbling after them.

“Wait for me!”

“Ahhh yes! I see today we get some delightful fish and cocktails for lunch.”

Set in front of each of the friends was an Arctic Iceberg and a fish. They dug in with glee.

“OW! Is this fish frozen?!?”

“Well of course. You do feel the temperature out here. We have no way of heating anything.”

“How do you not break your beak?” exclaimed Spike.

“I guess a mug of coffee is off the menu.” mumbled Half Caf.

Epilogue is questing! Episode 16/25

“This isn’t right.” whispered Epilogue to Spike and Half Caf. “We need to get out of here. It is freezing cold. We are not dressed for the weather. I don’t know about you but there is no way I can even get a single nibble out of that food and it is a frozen wasteland here! I want to go home! I want my family and friends!”

“Yes, I know they are penguins and as penguins we should feel as if this is the place for at least Half Caf and myself but something feels wrong. I don’t like whatever has been happening but somehow I sort of hope it happens again and we either end up at home or where we belong.”

Epilogue is questing! Episode 17/25

*POOF*

“Oh good grief!”

“Where are we now? This seems like tropical place and I think I can smell water.”

“Gee, what gave away the tropics? Not the palm trees and pineapples?”

“Oh shush you! Remember I may have sustained a head injury earlier? And I spilled my coffee!”

“Will you two stop your bickering? I think I hear music and laughter. And I also smell smoke!” said Epilogue.

Epilogue is questing! Episode 18/25

“I think you are right. It seems to be coming from that direction towards, ummm is that a volcano?”

“Yes, I think that is a volcano. And yes it seems to be the direction everything is coming from.”

“Well, let’s go check it out! To be honest, this seems the most promising of anywhere we have landed today.”

So together the friends made their way off through the jungle.

Epilogue is questing! Episode 19/25

The friends came to a clearing at the base of what yes indeed was a volcano where surprisingly they saw more penguins. These penguins were dancing and there were campfires going and flowers all over the place.
“Goodness! This place is gorgeous! I’m going to introduce us!” cried Spike. “Hi there everyone! I am Spike! And this is Epilogue and Half Caf. Sorry to crash the celebration you are all having but we landed out of who knows where and we heard, and smelled your party here and had to check it out.”

“Aloha! Come join.”

Epilogue is questing! Episode 20/25

The friends were greeted by the colony of penguins with open flippers. They were given flowers and invited to join in what appeared to be an extravagant feast.

“Sit! Sit! Let us serve you as our guests!”

Before they knew it they were being served plates heaping with fresh pineapple and other tropical fruit.

“Good! The catch of the day is ready!” Plates of fresh charred fish quickly replaced the empty fruit plates.

“Excuse me,” inquired Half Caf. “Might there be anything to drink to help wash down this exquisite feast?”

“Of course! Of course! Only the best Hawaiian Kona blend coffee for our friends”

Taking a sip Half Caf sighed with delight.

Epilogue is questing! Episode 21/25

“Spike, I think this may be the place. I could sit here and drink this coffee all day.” said Half Caf as he sat drinking his third cup.

“Yes, that is fine for you but what about me and Epilogue? What are we to do? Sure the fresh fruit is great. And that was the best fish I have ever had in my life but I would get bored. What is there to do? And Epilogue, they miss their friends and family. I think we need to find a way to get them home.”

“Sigh…you may be right. What if we ask the penguins here? Maybe they can enlighten us on activities that would hold your interest and perhaps they know how to get Epilogue home. You must admit this whole day has been mysterious and I don’t think it is just the head injury.”

Epilogue is questing! Episode 22/25

“Excuse me,” said Spike. “I do not mean to interfere on the fun and festivities here but we were wanting to know just what do you do around here for fun? I mean it is great dancing and filling your beak with this wonderful food but there has to be more to life.”

“Oh yes little one. When things quiet down here you can actually here the beach from here. You can hear the waves crash and the yelps and yells of the young ones having fun. Young ones much like yourselves.”

“Really? Do you think you could show us where this is? This sounds like this could be fun and adventurous!” exclaimed Spike, who in his excitement forgot all about trying to get Epilogue home.

“It’s just a short waddle right through this trail here. Let’s go!”

Epilogue is questing! Episode 23/25

The friends and their guide burst onto what was the most amazing beach any of them had ever seen.

“WOW!” they exclaimed in unison.

“Look at all those penguins! I think, I think they are surfing! I have always wanted to try surfing!” cried out Spike.

Half Caf was distracted. In the distance he spied a little hut and if his beak was not leading him astray it just might be a coffee hut.

Epilogue is questing! Episode 24/25

Spike and Half Caf had finally found where in the pet world they belonged. Spike had grabbed and surfboard and paddled out to sea and was riding the waves like a natural with the other penguins. Half Caf spent all of his time relaxed on the beach at the coffee hut trying every possible concoction he could ever dream of. Who knew that coffee overload could be such a thing? But mocha slushies were so good under the tropical sun!

Now you might be asking about Epilogue. We have not forgotten about Epilogue. They too tried surfing and also enjoyed all the coffee but this island still does not feel like home. And still their friends and family were just too important.

“We will figure it out. We will find a way to get you home.”

Epilogue is questing! Episode 25/25

Spike and Half Caf approached the penguin who seemed to be in charge of the island hoping they might be able to help Epilogue.

“Excuse me. In our excitement to be here we forgot about our dear friend Epilogue. You see they are just not happy here. They miss their friends and family dearly and just want to go home.”

“We were hoping that one of the zaps would land us back home so they could stay but never were we so fortunate. Do you have any ideas on how we can get our friend home?”

“Easy! Come here Epilogue. Quit hiding. Now take this special egg in your paws and close your eyes. I want you to imagine your friends and family who are the most important to you. Feel and embrace their love. Allow that warmth and glow to envelope you. And when you open your eyes again you will be back surrounded by their smiling faces.”
