"Do you know what anniversary is coming up? It's almost a whole year now since this Christmas card was issued in PnF Land, and there was a huge interest in meeting me here. So Uncle David made enquiries as to whether any of my friends and I would like to stay in PnF, and then sent Santa with his sleigh to come and pick us up and transport us here. It was such a giggle! "Anyway," continued Blue Bobble Hat. "We just fancied going back home for a visit, to see how things are in Frostbite Falls. I say "home", but of course, PnF is home now. But we need a troupe of reindeer to pull the sleigh. We'll have to be back by Christmas Eve, of course, or Santa won't be at all happy!" They giggled cheerfully at the thought. "I'll help pull the sleigh, of course," said Dancer. "I'll go and round up some pals to help too!"

There was a lot of excitement in the meadow later that day. The route had to be plotted and everything they were taking needed to be carefully listed and securely stowed in the sleigh. Amber Bobble Hat insisted on referring to the document as the manifest, and took charge of it. Then the reindeer needed to don the traces that pulled the sleigh. At long last they were all ready!
