On the way to France, Melton John took a detour into Germany. The fields of lavender were very lovely, and there were many Valentine's Day gifts, such as fragrances, honey and lavender bags, available for purchase at the farm shop.

They were given an itinerary of the events. The cover was a fascinating scrapbooking piece of art! Melton John noticed that one of the pets in the group was struggling to read the itinerary and went over to ask if he could help. The pet accepted he offer of help gratefully!

They went dining that evening to a lovely little bistro in the eighth arondissement of Paris. The pets all enjoyed aperitifs at the tables outside but went inside to dine.

When they arrived at the venue, it was a complete surprise! A field full of glowworms blinked and shimmered before them. The pets spent some time happily making friends with the glowworms.

One of the male pets present at the party had arranged with the hotel florist for a pink rose to be delivered anonymously to each of the particular half-dozen female pets present that he admired the most. Getting wind of this, and lest the other female pets should feel left out and hurt, Melton John quickly organised a delivery of a pink rose to each of them.

The next event turned out to be a special evening shopping trip with something for everyone in the numerous shops open for the evening, each selling uniquely Parisian things as well as chocolates and patisserie!

They ended the second night of the Valentine event on a festively decorated floating barge, toasting themselves whilst sailing down the Seine, and exchanging phone numbers and email addresses. Who knew what might be the future romantic outcome for some of these pets?

A sharp wail was heard! One of the pets had accidentally fallen overboard! Without hesitation, Jolie jumped into the Seine, and towed the pet to the safety of the bank where the dripping wet and deeply embarrassed pet was towelled dry and brought back to the party!
