The poppy can have many symbolic meanings in different cultures, for example, restful sleep and recovery. For others, it is a cheery harbinger of summer because of its size and intense colors. On this island there is a huge swathe of red poppies, providing a feast for the eyes and senses.

Heidegger was becoming increasingly irritated with the constant clicking and beeping of Batty's camera disturbing the peace and quiet, so Heidegger moved purposefully on without him!

Heidegger was becoming increasingly irritated with the constant clicking and beeping of Thinair's camera disturbing the peace and quiet, so Heidegger moved purposefully on without her!

Did you know that some varieties of sunflower can grow up to 15 feet high and 12 inches across their happy faces? The pets will find out whether these sunflowers are of that variety when they come across them on Le Mystère.

Lavender is an aromatic evergreen shrub of the mint family, used in scent-making and medicine. Just imagine the amount of perfume that could be made from these vast fields of lavender!

While Heidegger soaked in the view, W Axl Fox was searching his backpack for the bug spray, certain that his fur would be crawling with little biting critters once the sun went down!

As the pets jostle for position on top of Panorama Peak, they can see stretched out below them and far into the distance all the meadows, lakes, forests, hills and mountains of L'Île Mystère. What an adventure it will be to explore it all!

While Heidegger was busy snapping photos, Poah wandered off to find a suitable bush, as there was a decided lack of amenities in the immediate area!

@ Island: L'île Mystère
Heidegger finally makes it back to the landing stage, where Choose a name is also about to embark and go home. What an adventure it has been! Heidegger pockets a map of L'île Mystère as a momento. The guidebook says:

What an adventure this island will prove to be! There are opportunities for rambling up hill and down dale, and splendid views across lakes and mountains. There are fields of aromatic and colourful flowers. At one point in their exploration the pets will meet a huge reptile but rest assured—it will do no harm! Bon voyage!
