@ Scarlet Pathway
Bun Bun and Mittens are excited to find out what is in store for them in the Autumn Experience! As they enter, they each receive a free map! It reads:
Autumn in Purple
A country ramble awaits the pets and after exploring woodland paths, a small settlement will be found. At the spice store they will find cinnamon, chillies, star anise and chestnuts, plus purple flowers for perfumery. They will skirt a small lake before seeing a host of pink and purple-hued flowers and plants. Don't forget to grab an apple or two to munch as you head out onto the next stage of our tour!
Scarlet Pathway
As we begin our journey we are welcomed by a wonderful scarlet pathway. With the vivid canopy above, the crunchy leaves under our feet, and the sun-kissed trees on the side of the trail, we anticipate what beauty lies ahead.

Episode 2/25

@ Illusion of Nightfall
On his way round The Autumn Experience, Snarky bumped into Bun Bun. They both paused to drink in the beautiful scene before them before going on to the next location.
Illusion of Nightfall
Proceeding along the trail something unexpected happens right away. The canopy becomes so dense it gives the illusion of impending nightfall. The light beckons you ahead.

Episode 3/25

@ Undulating Road
Bun Bun and Dani, having shaken paws, got so engrossed in conversation about the beautiful scenery that they had to hurry along so as not to be left behind! They regretfully bade au revoir and auf Wiedersehen to each other!

The light leads us to the remnants of a paved gently undulating road shrouded with trees just beginning to lose their leaves. We wonder what pets have journeyed through here in times gone by.

@ Autumn Rice Field
Bun Bun and Sweetums shook paws, said “How do you do?” and posed for a souvenir photo. “Why am I always on the left?” grumbled Bun Bun. “Let’s change sides.”
“No,” said Sweetums. “This is my best side.”
Autumn Rice Field
This journey is definitely full of surprises! One never knows what to expect as they round the bend of life and this rice field is the perfect example. Who knew rice could grow here in the cool autumn temperatures?

@ Sunlight Road
“Time to move on and shake the next paw!” observed Bun Bun. Silky agreed, but said she was going to stay here awhile and collect pine cones.

The undulating road has smoothed out and we are bathed in the warm rays of sunshine as they illuminate the path ahead and the glory of the autumn leaves.

@ Wild Blueberries
Silky and Bun Bun shook paws with each other and compared notes as to how their respective trips had gone so far, and which was the most delicious harvest item they had each come across.

Just as your tummy begins to rumble you spot these deeply colored wild blueberries in the brush beside the trail. The color is much deeper than the berries you have seen at the market and your mouth begins to water. Perfect timing and oh-so-refreshing!

@ Fresh Chestnuts
Bun Bun and merlin shook paws before sitting down to enjoy an autumnal harvest snack. “There’s nothing like farm-fresh food, is there, Bun Bun?” said merlin.

As soon as my eyes catch the sight of these baskets of freshly harvested chestnuts, washed and ready to purchase, a familiar song gets stuck in my head. Is it too early to sing Christmas carols?

@ Vision in Violet
Sylvantra and Bun Bun shook paws and then they both admired the magnificent floral display beside them.

Pets who love the color purple will be captivated by the intense color of this gorgeous violet flower. The vendor claims it will last for weeks as a cut flower so no reason to leave without buying a bouquet.

@ Cinnamon Sticks and Star Anise
Bun Bun and Ladybug shook paws before sitting down to enjoy an autumnal harvest snack. “There’s nothing like farm-fresh food, is there, Bun Bun?” said Ladybug.

Nothing smells like autumn like the aroma of hot spiced apple cider. Combine cinnamon sticks, star anise, oranges studded with whole cloves, brown sugar, allspice, nutmeg, and apple cider into a pot and steep them all together for a favorite fall drink.

“You know, Cicero said 'If you have a garden and a library you have everything you need',” mused Gordon.
"I don't think I've met Cicero," said Bun Bun. "Is he on this tour?"

Zoot was hailed by Bun Bun, who had also just arrived on the scene. “What a great view, Zoot!” said Bun Bun. “I could stay here for hours!”

Ahhh, here it is, our lodging for tonight. We came upon this log cabin just in time as I need to stop and rest awhile. This cozy cabin in the woods looks so warm and inviting. We should get a good night's sleep in this peaceful spot! I do hope they have a porch swing to relax on!

Bun Bun had to travel on alone, as Crocodile Beauty declared he had found paradise, and had no intention of moving on!

“Hey, Hot Stuff!” called out Bun Bun. “Come and have some of this—it’s delicious!”
Hot Stuff was glad to relax and enjoy the food Bun Bun shared with him.

"I think I'll take a cutting of the plant in that tub over there," said Bun Bun. The label says it's 'vigorous' and 'fearless'."
Snowball sniffed. "That's gardeners' talk for 'an invasive species that will take over your entire garden if permitted'!"

Pale pink and dark purple leaves make this a quite dramatic poinsettia plant! And no, it's not too early to think about poinsettias because if we want them to look like this they need to be placed into a dark room several months before Christmas so that the leaves change colors.

“Oh hello, Bun Bun!” cried Buddy. “Didn’t we bump into each other at Crocodile Creek a while ago?”

Soft and wispy, like a daydream, these delicate-looking flowers are anything but that. They are actually a sturdy wildflower, blooming all summer long through the end of autumn.

Bun Bun is enjoying the Autumn Experience when Munich comes along. "Look! A special prize!" says Munich. Bun Bun looks down and sees something valuable. Munich generously lets Bun Bun keep it!
