"The Flemish Ambassador to the 16th-century court of Suleiman the Magnificent returned to Amsterdam with tulip bulbs, introducing the plant to Holland."

"Listen to what it says here about Turkish food: 'Blending Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Balkan and Central Asian cuisines, the result is delicious, particularly the plentiful vegetable meze dishes. These are often made with garlic, nuts and spices, which are served with fresh bread, locally produced olive oil and, if it’s in season, pomegranate syrup.'"

Bringing joy to the chocolate coconut candy, these almond trees bloom and later will yield nuts of culinary delight, used in all savory and sweet dishes.

The waiter placed milky-looking drinks in tumblers before Népomucène Bibliophilus and Peggy. "It smells, good, Peggy, what is it?" queried Népomucène Bibliophilus.
"It's Boza, an ancient fermented drink usually made from wheat, millet, barley, oats or bulgur. It's believed to have originated in Turkey more than 8000 years ago!"
"Are they hazelnuts on top?" asked Népomucène Bibliophilus.
"No, they're actually crunchy roasted chickpeas, and a dusting of cinnamon!"

Strolling along the green fields, poppies grow wild, swaying in the afternoon breeze, creating a dance of joy to music only they can hear.

"There are around a dozen ski resorts in Turkey boasting stunning snow-covered mountain ranges during the winter months. The highest peak in Turkey is Palandoken in the eastern region of Erzurum. It has the longest and steepest runs in the country."
