Episode 1/29: Summer is the best time for sports festivals. There was a rumour that Sam was going to create one, but since Sam is a turtle, it wasn’t that hard to beat him to it. The Mouse in Trousers got there first! He announced the most auspicious event of the year, thus:

"There shall be a magnificent festival of sport, in which the Fast and the Furriest shall compete to win one of a magnificent set of racing cars!"

Episode 2/29: Sam wasn’t pleased. As Captain of the Power Pets Sports Club, he sees himself as the authority on sport. So he climbed onto the stage and said he should have been in charge. The Mouse replied, off mike:

"If I left it to you, the entire competition would have been fixed from the beginning. Your Champions would have won everything. I hate cheating! My sports festival will be FAIR!"

Flounder, who likes to have his nose in everything, had followed Sam to see what he was up to. He hid from the Mouse, and heard everything, but was not sure whether Sam had seen him or not.

Episode 3/29: Next day, Alastair was wandering through Weston Plaza when he saw a sign: "Snoopers wanted! Meet at the Drunken Dolphin!"

Thinking he would like to snoop on the snoopers, Alastair went along and found Flounder with some strange pets he had never seen before.

Episode 4/29: “Oh, have you come about the job?” asked Flounder, finally noticing Alastair. “We could do with a Brown Rustic Rabbit in the team. We shall be trying to catch Sam’s Champions cheating in the games. Meet Beauregard, Guinevere and Furrari. They are all experts in their sports, but they haven’t been around here long. I want someone who knows Pets ‘n’ Friends inside out to take charge of them. You’ll do! Just take notes on what they discover and then report back to me. If those Champions cheat, I’m going to make sure they pay for it!”

Alastair said he didn’t like cheating either, so he gladly agreed.

Episode 5/29: Flounder took the team outside. “It’s going to be hard work keeping up with the flow of events,” he said, “so I have provided the team with a horse.”

“But we can’t cover all 15 events, even with a horse!” said Alastair.

“Right, this team will be investigating the Horn Fencing, Archery and Cat Parkour,” said Flounder. “There are bound to be expenses and you deserve a reward, so I shall be paying you in gems.

Episode 6/29: At the inaugural ceremony, all the competitors were gathered before the Mouse in Trousers, who had dressed in a wig to show the competitor’s oath would be legally binding. “As sole author of rules and regulations, I require you to repeat after me: I shall not cheat or play tricks on my opponents!”

As Alastair listened, he thought he could hear some deliberate mumbling, and saw quite a few paws being crossed behind the backs of the Champions.

“And don’t think you can get away with mumbling!” said the Mouse. “Rule 1: you must take the oath! If you don’t take it you are out, and if you break it you’re out. I’ve got you both ways!” Alastair suppressed a laugh as he noticed Sam the Turtle rolling his eyes. “May the Fast and Furriest pets win!” said the Mouse.

Episode 7/29: Alastair, still watching the fencing, sends the others off to watch Archie and see what might be going on there. Much to their astonishment and dismay, they find that he's been secretly cutting little notches in the arrows used by the other competitors, causing them to wobble in flight! Oh woe! Another Power Pet cheating! Although, it isn't really too much of a shock.

Episode 8/29: While Alastair and the friends are investigating Uma, one of the group points out that Archie is slinking off toward the archery pitch, with a can of red paint in tow! Watching from the cover of a nearby tree, they are astounded to see Archie carefully paint the bulls eye on his target bigger, making it easier for him to score winning points! Alastair, with an eye roll, flips the page on the clipboard, and makes a new note about cheats for Archie as well.

Episode 9/29: Flounder, convinced that something fishy was going on with Regina and the parkour stadium, catches a quick ride with a Furrari, only to discover the field laced with his cousins! Eh, fish! Regina must have secretly placed them there for the kittehs to snack upon, and in doing so, lose their competitive edge. Not seeing her actually do it, means Flounder can't write her up on it, but decides Alastair and the crew should watch her for cheating as well!

Episode 10/29: Alastair and the friends, tired of watching Uma cheat at fencing, are happy to watch Regina, the Cat Parkour champion, dazzle the crowd with some fancy paw work prior to the start of the games! Ah, if it were only her being fancy! The truth of the matter is that she is busy dropping little cat nip bombs along the course, because as Regina knows, no kitteh can resist stopping and rolling a bit in it!

Episode 11/29: Uma and her competitors are busy walking onto the fencing floor, when Uma gives a bit of a tug on her beautiful pearl necklace, and whoosh down go all her beloved pearls! Unaware, the poor blokes on the floor start tripping, slipping and falling around! Someone called for the medic! There might be some sprained hooves! Alastair sighs, realizing just how far Uma will go to retain her Champion title...

Episode 12/29: Uma, Power Pet Fencing Champion, never misses taking her competitors out to the old mansion on the outskirts of town, right about midnight! Secretly she has employed friends to hide about in strategic places, making moaning noises, and whispering gibberish! The fencers, on edge at all the goings on, come back ready to compete, but find they have lost their confidence, recalling all the strange paranormal activity from the night before! Alastair, pretended not to believe in this nonsense, however the EMF meter showed some strange spikes! Making a note for Flounder, it was iffy if he could consider this one of Uma's cheats?

Episode 13/29: Uma organized a picnic for all the competitors in the fencing arena today, and pasted over the start time to a later one. So while they were out enjoying all the glory of sunshine and the great outdoors, Uma slipped on the last bus to town, leaving everyone blissfully unaware they just forfeited this round of the competition! Alastair although busy with friends, had enough wherewithall to remember to make a note for Flounder.

Episode 14/29: Feeling contrite about her bad behaviours, Uma invited everyone over to her place for a lovely dinner and desserts! Uma, never wanting to spoil her girly figure, passes on desserts, but encourages the others to have as much as they like! Putting on some dance music, she gets the group rockin' and rollin'! And shortly after, the poor competitors realize they are feeling quite ill from desserts, and wonder how they can compete? Uma, quietly crinkles up the secret ingredient wrapper of Ipecac, and makes a break for it, before things get too messy. Alastair is having difficulty as well, after consuming the tasty treats, and barely manages a note for Flounder.

Episode 15/29: While the crowd cheers Uma on from the stands, she secretly replaces the swords for the competition with rubbery ones, that will flop about when held! What a joker she is! Alastair makes a note of the cheat, while laughing right along at the clever little unicorn!

Episode 16/29: You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. Well, unless you're Uma Thruman, who promised extra hoof agility to the competitors who naively believed her. Drinking deep from the trough, it wasn't long before they fell fast asleep, missing the competition! Alastair took a water sample to the lab, but was pretty sure they already knew what the result would be.

Episode 17/29: Uma, borrowing Alastair's cellphone, made some truly trumped up charges to the police about her competition! Barely able to make bail, the competitors cry out desperately to the officers that they have been framed! Alastair, ashamed for having a part in all of this, slinks off with the rest of the investigators and keeps a mental tick of this sly cheat!

Episode 18/29: Uma, trying to not appear as nefarious, came up with the grand idea to give out free T-shirts to her fellow fencers. Flying up above the group, she dropped shirts out, pleased when they landed on the heads of the competition, keeping them from the fencing ring, as they struggled to escape all that material. Alastair snorted with laughter to see the sight, but realized yet again what a crafy cheat Uma is!

Episode 19/29: Disguised as a basket of towels for the competitors to wipe a sweaty brow after the competition, Uma kicks one over only to reveal a basket of vipers! While the arena breaks out in mayhem, Uma prances up to the podium for the win, again! Alastair is a bit shaken, as are the rest of the investigators, and puts a big red X on the clipboard, noting how Uma found yet another way to cheat. Shocking, isn't it?

Episode 20/29: Clever Uma concocted a treasure map, and started a rumor that there was a special treasure hidden somewhere in the old fencing stadium! Her competitors grabbed up the maps and started racing around the place, searching every room, broom closet and V.I.P. room! While keeping them on a wild goose chase, Uma is the only one (again!) who shows up on time for the fencing event, taking first place by default. Alastair is miffed that even though they have searched high and low for treasure, that there isn't one to be found! Slowly it dawns, it was a cheat!

Episode 21/29: Who is that! Standing on the sidelines? Uma has an accomplice, comes the yell from the viewing stands. And, yes, Uma has paid her very dear friend Julia Boberts, international movie star, to stand off to the side of the competition area. Dazzling the crowd with her shy smile and wave; everyone, including the next opponent, is star struck as Uma moves in for the win! Alastair just hopes to get an autograph, to go along with the ever longer report on just how Uma cheats!

Episode 22/29: Poised precariously on the edge of the platform, Uma takes careful stock of the situation, realizing some of the best fencers in the world are here today! How she will ever stand a chance of a crowning win? She's not sure? It won't be because of any talent she has, as she hasn't practiced in weeks! Maliciously plotting, she recalls seeing a rare Lit Bomb, standing innocently in the crowd, and decides to call out to it OH BOMB! BOMB! Over here! And mass panic ensues, scattering competitors near and far, while Uma pranced over to the poor misunderstood pet and gives him a hug, knowing full well exactly what she did. Alastair, after , made a big red mark on the cheating column for Uma!

Episode 23/29: Uma, ever the clever unicorn, convinced the other fencers to get pedicures right before the competition, unbeknownst to the competitors, the polish Uma insisted they use was actually grease! Slipping every way to Sunday, the group is less than pleased, as Uma takes the crown home. Alastair can't quit laughing at the sight, giving Uma some big props, but marking down the cheat nonetheless.

Episode 24/29: Get the PARTY STARTED! Yelled Uma, who cranked up the tunes, and threw on her sparkle hoof covers, dancing the latest craze, the floss! While she got the crowd rollicking in sync to the beat, Uma sauntered over to the start line, and being the only one who showed, automatically took the title. Uma didn't really mind that she didn't do anything to win, as long as she did win! Alastair, after stubbing a paw on the dance floor, realized what had happened, and took a note quickly before returning to the rave!

Episode 25/29: The Fast and Furriest Games were all over bar the prize giving. The team had collected a vast dossier of information. It was all Alastair could do to remember all the details when he reported back to Flounder with the rest of the team.

Episode 26/29: The Mouse in Trousers was disappointed that the Champions had won all the events. "Still," he said to himself, "at least I forced them to win honestly. That's all that matters."

"Wait a minute!" said Flounder. "I have in my fins a vast dossier listing countless ways in which these pets have CHEATED!"

The Mouse was overjoyed. "Rule 1!" he cried. "No cheating!"

"We mumbled the oath!" replied the Champions. "We never took it!"

"Rule 1 also says you can't compete if you didn't take the oath!" said the Mouse triumphantly. "You're not only disqualified, you are under a life time ban from any event held by me!"

The Champions exited the stage, moaning and groaning.

Episode 27/29: “But what shall I do with the race cars?” wondered the Mouse in Trousers.

“Is it too late to have a Rule 2?” asked Flounder. “Not if Rule 2 says it isn’t too late,” replied the Mouse. “Rule 2; rules can only be added before the prizes have been given, and snoopers get cheats' prizes!” said Flounder.

The Mouse was overjoyed. Each of the team stepped forward to receive a race car, even though the Mouse had to get an extra one for Alastair.

Episode 28/29: Back at the Club House, Sam the Turtle was incandescent.

“**** the Mouses’ rules!” he yelled. (He was having some trouble with the swearing filter). “I say again ****! What are the rules of the Power Pets Sports Club?”

The Champions looked crestfallen, but had to reply: “There is only one rule: never get caught.”

“****, ***** and ******!” roared Sam. “You’re all fired!”

Episode 29/29: It was a happy day for Flounder. As Alastair prepared to drive home, Flounder had another surprise for him. “When I saw the look on the Champions’ faces, I knew it had been worth all those gems. Far more, just to see them thrown out. Here’s your questly bonus of 20 GM; you deserve it!
