While Fresco de la Reye soaked in the view, Abel was searching his backpack for the bug spray, certain that his fur would be crawling with little biting critters once the sun went down!

After months of planning, Fresco de la Reye and Hitra finally agreed on where they would travel together, and they are both secretly please with their choice!

The poppy can have many symbolic meanings in different cultures, for example, restful sleep and recovery. For others, it is a cheery harbinger of summer because of its size and intense colors. On this island there is a huge swathe of red poppies, providing a feast for the eyes and senses.

While Fresco de la Reye was busy snapping photos, Ameriglo wandered off to find a suitable bush, as there was a decided lack of amenities in the immediate area!

Fresco de la Reye had to travel on alone, as Cherry declared she had found her nirvana, and had no intention of moving on!

What better place could there be for happy young pets than a game of hide and seek in this never-ending vista of yellow? Everypet is soon covered with pollen from nose, beak, snout or muzzle to tail! Just don't sneeze and give your whereabouts away! ... ninety-nine, a hundred—coming, ready or not!

Did you know that some varieties of sunflower can grow up to 15 feet high and 12 inches across their happy faces? The pets will find out whether these sunflowers are of that variety when they come across them on Le Mystère.

@ Island: L'île Mystère
Fresco de la Reye finally makes it back to the landing stage, where VV is also about to embark and go home. What an adventure it has been! Fresco de la Reye pockets a map of L'île Mystère as a momento. The guidebook says:

What an adventure this island will prove to be! There are opportunities for rambling up hill and down dale, and splendid views across lakes and mountains. There are fields of aromatic and colourful flowers. At one point in their exploration the pets will meet a huge reptile but rest assured—it will do no harm! Bon voyage!
