@ Tunnel of Maple Trees
Fresco de la Reye and Balthazar are excited to find out what is in store for them in the Autumn Experience! As they enter, they each receive a free map! It reads:
Autumn in Amber
Autumn has well been described by Keats as the "Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness" and pets will here enjoy a ramble through woods with tumbling golden and orange leaves. They can gather hazelnuts, horse chestnuts and fruits, and perhaps forage for mushrooms and dill. Then there are vast fields of wild flowers to explore, and an opportunity to admire the sunset while resting by a rustic barn. Watch your paws or claws crossing the river on the stepping stones—but perhaps splashing in the swirling water is part of the fun!

As you near this autumn realm and hear the thunder of the falls close by, you get to walk through a vividly colorful tunnel of maple leaves with the light of the evening sun at the tunnel's end to attract you further.

Fresco de la Reye opened his rucksack to change his hat. Shadow could see Fresco de la Reye had a baseball cap, a sombrero, a beret, a straw boater, a cricket cap, a sou'wester, a large, floppy sunhat and a pith helmet!
“Did you bring a mortarboard too?” Shadow asked Fresco de la Reye.

As you step out of the tunnel of fall-colored leaves, you are greeted with even more beauty to behold as you see flowers silhouetted by the setting sun. Now you know that the day's journey is almost done!

@ Sunset Across the Field
"Wasn’t it worth coming all this way, Fresco de la Reye," said PHOENIX, "for this experience alone?" Fresco de la Reye, admiring the scene they were now in, heartily agreed!

As you look further past where you are now standing, you see a vast farm field to cross with welcoming trees and hillsides awaiting.

Fresco de la Reye gazed at the scene around him in awe, while Lilly grumbled a little about Fresco de la Reye's so-called shortcut, if her blisters were anything to go by!

You pause for a moment to make sure that the pictures you've been taking of your breath-taking journey today have been capturing what your eyes have been seeing. Even though there is so much beauty for just two eyes to take in, you are pleased with your photos thus far, especially of the light at the end of the tunnel of maple trees!

@ Handful of Horse Chestnuts
Inspired by the sunny day, Mini said, “Wouldn't it be fun to work on the harvest?”
Fresco de la Reye took a more pragmatic view. “You’d have to be up before dawn every day and work for 12 hours practically non-stop!”
Mini hastily revised her romantic harvest vision.
Handful of Horse Chestnuts
Not only were you enveloped with maple trees, but you also saw some chestnut trees mixed within, and so you grabbed a handful of chestnuts as a souvenir!

@ Bouquet of Fall Flowers
Oliver and Fresco de la Reye shook paws and then they both admired the magnificent floral display beside them.

As you left the woods, with another tree line to your left, you noticed some large blooms of wildflowers along the edge of the trees, and so you picked a few to spruce up your room when you settle in later in the evening.

@ Fragile Flowers
"Honey, just take a look all around you and breathe deeply! Get that good fresh air in your lungs! Does it get any better than this?" asked Fresco de la Reye, who had just met Honey at this Autumn Experience stop.

As you continue through the field, you choose to leave the daintier purple flowers alone, simply enjoying their fragrance and their beauty in the evening sun.

@ White Rose and Pink Daisy
"Melinda, was that last one we looked at a thorn bush with roses? Or a rose bush with thorns?" asked Fresco de la Reye.

With all of the flowers you are admiring, you almost forgot the ones you picked up in the autumn realm of green that morning. You check to be sure they are still fresh - and they are! - and remember that you have a note to fill out for tonight's host.

@ Wild White Mushrooms
“These are great as a cake flavouring,” said Fresco de la Reye.
“You can add it to savoury dishes as well. It’s very versatile,” observed Suzie.

Continuing on the path, you notice along the tree line something white. Not sure if you were seeing flowers, you approach and find that they are wild mushrooms, the edible kind, and so you grab a few to add to a possible stew later in the evening!

“What’s this flower called?” Fresco de la Reye said to TEDDY. “Er—I only know the Latin name for it,” said TEDDY and hastily changed the subject.

As you look to your left, with the waterfall thundering to your right, you see how swiftly the river runs past you as you ensure you have enough stepping stones to get across. One wrong step and you may be staying somewhere further south than you planned!

@ Fallen Leaves Floating By
Fresco de la Reye had to travel on alone, as Moon declared she had found paradise, and had no intention of moving on!

As you make your way to the next rock, you noticed flower blooms and leaves floating by. The leaves may have fallen from trees and were blown into the water, perhaps before the waterfall. You stretch out your paw and snag a twig of orange-colored leaves to stick out of your backpack!

@ Plucked Flowers Floating By Too!
Allie Kat bent down to sniff the flower in front of her but recoiled hastily. “What’s up, Allie Kat?” asked Fresco de la Reye.
“There’s a huge bumblebee on it!” said Allie Kat.

After you cross to your next rock, with the shore almost within reach, you decide to add to your collection of souvenirs by grabbing some of the plucked blooms floating by and wrapping them in paper for safe keeping. These were put in the water by young pets in the autumn realm of green, hoping they would float and float for a long distance.

@ Plenty of Nuts
“I hope we can buy more of this at our local farmer's market,” observed Fresco de la Reye, as he and Ucil tucked into a delicious food sample!

As you jump and thump from rock to rock, you check your supply of hazelnuts after noticing you hadn't closed your container as well as you thought! Whew! Most are still there!

@ Red and Yellow Flower
“My uncle grows these in his back garden,” observed Fresco de la Reye.
“Wow! He must surely have green fingers!” replied Silver.

As you land on the last rock, you notice a huge bloom coming your way on the water. It bumps into the rock, making it an easy grab with your paw!

@ Almost there!
“Oh hello, Fresco de la Reye!” cried Coco. “Didn’t we bump into each other at Crocodile Creek a while ago?”

As you step onto the shore, you continue to enjoy the sunset and notice the host home close by! What a welcome sight after a long, but joyful day of hiking into a new realm!

With the waterfall and river now roaring on your right, the gentleness of the sunset upon a meadow of yellow flowers, which appear to be even more yellow from the sun's rays, calm your soul as you near your goal!

@ Fading Sun Rays
Fresco de la Reye and Koolio Sun shook paws, said “How do you do?” and posed for a souvenir photo. “Why am I always on the left?” grumbled Fresco de la Reye. “Let’s change sides.”
“No,” said Koolio Sun. “This is my best side.”

On your left is another tree line through which you see some of the last rays of the sun poking through the fall leaves. This makes you feel even more relaxed!

@ Green Leafed Plant
"I think I'll take a cutting of the plant in that tub over there," said Fresco de la Reye. The label says it's 'vigorous' and 'fearless'."
Siesta sniffed. "That's gardeners' talk for 'an invasive species that will take over your entire garden if permitted'!"

As you pass this patch of growth, you pluck a few sprigs in hopes of decorating up the doorway or the table of the home where you'll lay your head down soon.

@ Ginger and Lemons
Inspired by the sunny day, Isabella said, “Wouldn't it be fun to work on the harvest?”

Fresco de la Reye is enjoying the Autumn Experience when Sea Breeze comes along. "Look! A special prize!" says Sea Breeze. Fresco de la Reye looks down and sees something valuable. Sea Breeze generously lets Fresco de la Reye keep it!
