Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Chandra and Fluffy were playing in the attic when Chandra fell over a burlap sack full of colourful seeds. Wondering what they were, Chandra decided to try sprouting them...

Buffy The Vampire Slayer is questing! Episode 2/25

With Buffy The Vampire Slayer watching on expectantly, Chandra placed 3 types of seeds in 3 different jars of slime, and waved her toy wand over them. Fluffy chanted the words he imagined reading in the magical tomes from Chandra's toy box, and they each held their breath (which might account for Chandra's lips leaking something disgusting?).

Time passed. Buffy The Vampire Slayer took Fluffy and Chandra for a walk at the local off-leash hound park. They ate. They didn't bathe. They dosed off. And when they finally awoke, their seeds had sprouted!!!

Instead of being grateful for being liberated from those strange seeds, the sprouts were upset that Chandra and Fluffy had not also liberated their parents too! The sprouts insisted Buffy The Vampire Slayer take them back to the burlap sack to fetch the seeds their parents were trapped inside of!

The sprouts returned to the attic, tipped the sack upside down, and shook it. But nothing came out except dust. Not even one tiny seed crumb, let alone a full seed!

Hoping to elicit some help from Chandra (who seemed very knowledgable about seeds) and Fluffy (because he was there), The Sprouts decided to share their story with their new companions.

Apparently The Sprouts went trick n treating with their parents back in 1984. They were all dressed in glamorous costumes, created by Mr Sprout, who fancied himself a costume designer. The last thing any of them could remember was Mrs Sprout bending over to pick up a burlap sack full of seeds in a laneway, until they woke up in Chandra's jars of slime...

It felt logical to the companions to begin their hunt for the seeds containing Mr & Mrs Sprout in the alley from whence they disappeared so very many years ago.

Chandra packed plenty of jars of slime and her toy wand for the journey. Fluffy and The Sprouts packed plenty of food and drinks to sustain them during their hunt, and the companions arrived in the alley in good spirits, ready to place some seeds in jars and transform them...

Alas, the things the companions liberated from these particular seeds in no way resembled Mr & Mrs Sprout, so the ever-hopeful companions resumed their hunt...

At the end of the alley, the companions espied an interesting edifice with a basket of seeds out front. The Sprouts put two of the seeds into Chandra's jars of slime, and she waved her toy wand, while Fluffy pretended to speak the necessary incantation.

Alas, again the things the companions liberated from these particular seeds in no way resembled Mr & Mrs Sprout, so the ever-hopeful companions resumed their hunt...

The companions followed a trail of seeds around the corner, to a more imposing edifice. The Sprouts again selected seeds for Chandra's jars of slime. Chandra waved her toy wand, while Fluffy grumbled the necessary incantation.

But, again the things the companions liberated from these particular seeds in no way resembled Mr & Mrs Sprout, so the ever-hopeful companions resumed their hunt...

Never ones to give up too easily, the companions followed the trail of seeds into the woods, valiantly pretending that none of them were frightened of the dark. The Sprouts knew to select seeds for Chandra's jars of slime. Chandra waved her toy wand, while Fluffy muttered the necessary incantation.

But, again the things the companions liberated from these particular seeds in no way resembled Mr & Mrs Sprout! So the long-suffering companions resumed their hunt...

Eventually the companions came upon a clearing in the woods, secretly hoping Mr & Mrs Sprout had not found their way here. The Sprouts collected seeds for Chandra's jars of slime, albeit reluctantly. Feeling like she was being watched, Chandra frantically waved her toy wand, while Fluffy rushed through the necessary incantation.

But, again, rather spookily in fact, the things the companions liberated from these particular seeds in no way resembled Mr & Mrs Sprout! So the companions hurriedly resumed their hunt...

Finally reaching the cliffs at the edge of the clearing, the companions espied a druid castle, nestled in the clouds. The Sprouts tiptoed across the clouds to collect seeds for Chandra's jars of slime, hoping the clouds would prove to be more solid than they looked. Shaking like a leaf, Chandra waved her toy wand, while Fluffy stuttered through the necessary incantation.

But nopet was surprised when the things the companions liberated from these particular seeds in no way resembled Mr & Mrs Sprout! So the companions ghosted away to resume their hunt...

Huddled up together for safety, the companions scoured the Black Forrest for seeds for Chandra's jars of slime, dreading to hope these ones would sprout into their missing parents. With a trembling paw, Chandra waved her toy wand, while Fluffy whimpered the necessary incantation.

But it was blatantly obvious that the things the companions had liberated from these particular seeds in no way resembled Mr & Mrs Sprout! So, beating a hasty retreat, the companions stumbled out of the forrest, to continue their search...

With hopes high, the companions entered the Enchanted Woods and began gathering seeds for Chandra's jars of slime, optimistically hoping these ones would sprout into their missing parents. With renewed energy, Chandra waved her toy wand, while Fluffy chanted the necessary incantation.

But once the mist had cleared it became obvious that the things the companions had liberated from these particular seeds in no way resembled Mr & Mrs Sprout! So, stomping their paws in frustration, the companions marched out of the woods, to resume their hunt...

Navigating by the stars, the companions reached the outskirts of a ghost town, where they began gathering seeds for Chandra's jars of slime, without a ghost of a hope these seeds would transform into the missing Sprout parents. Ethereally, Chandra waved her toy wand, while Fluffy whispered the necessary incantation.

But it became hauntingly obvious that the things the companions had liberated from these particular seeds in no way resembled Mr & Mrs Sprout! Silently resolved to disappointment, the companions ghosted away, to continue their hunt...

The companions followed a trail of seeds into an underground cavern, where Chandra added them to two of her jars of slime, wondering if these seeds would transform into the missing Sprout parents. Chandra waved her toy wand, while Fluffy roared the necessary incantation.

But it soon became apparent that the things the companions had liberated from these particular seeds in no way resembled Mr & Mrs Sprout! Not wanting to spend any longer than strictly necessary in these fiery depths, the companions raced off to continue their hunt...

Back on the surface, by the light of the full moon, the companions found a new cache of seeds for Chandra's jars of slime. Would it be these seeds which would transform into the missing Sprout parents? With a cackle, Chandra waved her toy wand, while Fluffy began chanting "bubble, bubble, toil and trouble..."


But it became hauntingly obvious that the things which the companions had liberated from these particular seeds in no way resembled Mr & Mrs Sprout! Leaving the coven to cast their All Hallows spells, the companions swept away, to continue their hunt...

Following the trail of seeds into a ghost town, the companions entered the amusement park. While The Sprouts lined up to buy tickets for attractions, Chandra tossed some sticky seeds into fresh jars of slime and waved her toy wand. With renewed vigour, Fluffy rumbled the necessary incantation.

But the things the companions liberated from these particular seeds seemed to be amusement park attractions which, fortunately for the Sprouts, in no way resembled their parents! So the companions drifted away to resume their hunt...

Entering the Dark Woods, the companions fought their way through spider webs and guano, to collect the few unsoiled seeds they could find. Chandra prepared fresh jars of slime, and determinedly waved her toy wand, while Fluffy wove his way through the necessary incantation.

The companions were terrified when the things they had liberated from these particular seeds in no way resembled Mr & Mrs Sprout! So the companions fled the Dark Woods to resume their hunt...

Ghosting through the misty marsh, The Sprouts gathered sticky seeds for Chandra's jars of slime. Shaking like a wet dog, Chandra waved her toy wand, while Fluffy floated through the necessary incantation.

But nopet was surprised when the things the companions liberated from these particular seeds in no way resembled Mr & Mrs Sprout! So the companions ghosted away to resume their hunt...

Stumbling upon another cache of seeds, The Sprouts passed them to Chandra for her jars of slime, hoping their luck might finally change. Wearily, Chandra waved her toy wand, while Fluffy muttered the necessary incantation.

But again the things the companions liberated from these particular seeds in no way resembled Mr & Mrs Sprout! So the companions drifteded away to resume their hunt...

Buffy The Vampire Slayer is questing! Episode 22/25

Finally reaching the edge of the town where The Sprouts had lived in 1984, the companions espied a a healthy vegie patch where they might rest and snack. The Sprouts tiptoed through the tulips (ehr, pumpkins and corn!) to collect seeds for Chandra's jars of slime. Chandra waved her toy wand, while Fluffy chanted through the necessary incantation.

Nopet was surprised when the things the companions liberated from these particular seeds in no way resembled Mr & Mrs Sprout, although they looked decidedly more delicious than anything else the seeds had produced so far! In fact, their aroma was so enticing, it brought Buffy The Vampire Slayer sniffing around. So it was with a lighter step the companions ventured on, with Buffy The Vampire Slayer in tow, to resume their hunt...

Buffy The Vampire Slayer is questing! Episode 23/25

It was raining seeds, so the companions ventured into the town square of Sproutville, in search of shelter. Recognising landmarks along the way, The Sprouts jubilantly collected plenty of seeds for Chandra's jars of slime. With a good feeling about this attempt, Chandra waved her toy wand, while Fluffy sung, abeit badly, the necessary incantation.

Nopet was more surprised than Chandra when the things the companions liberated from these particular seeds did resemble Mr & Mrs Sprout!

"No wonder The Sprout children are such an unattractive bunch of brats!!!" whispered Fluffy to Buffy The Vampire Slayer, while the other pets were preoccupied.

But The sprout children grinned from ear to ear, as everypet talked over the top of each other, trying to be the first to explain what was going on to Mr & Mrs Sprout.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer is questing! Episode 24/25

The Sprouts all wondered if their beautiful family home could still be standing after all of these years. Pulling her red slippers out of her burlap sack, Chandra clicked the heels together with her hands (as Dorothy would also have done, if she had no feet to wear her red slippers on!). Fluffy yowled the magic incantation, while Chandra waved her toy wand, and the companions, plus two parents and a whole pile of seeds were transported to the Sprout family home.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer was so taken with the Sprout's beautiful home, that Chandra promised to conjure one for her too!

Buffy The Vampire Slayer is questing! Episode 25/25

Curious about the way Buffy The Vampire Slayer lived, Mr Sprout wanted to accompany her home. Chandra offered to conjure them the bus fare back to Buffy The Vampire Slayer's home page, so all of the companions joined Fluffy in his final incantation, while Chandra waved her toy wand with the sort of regal dignity that is normally associated with waves from a royal entourage...
