@ Dog Sled Fun
Reneen and Alex have been given a free map to help them enjoy their Winter Tour! Before unfolding it, they read the cover:
Aerial Adventure
The pets are collected after breakfast by a friendly array of sled dogs eager to be off! They will have to hang on tight for a speedy journey through a wintry vista before arriving at the aerodrome, where the pets will board a light aircraft for the day's trip. There will be superb aerial views of snowy mountains far below, with Alpine villages and public gardens becoming clearer in detail as the plane descends on its flight path for landing. As sunset falls the plane will land within easy walking distance of the night's accommodation. Here the pets can gather on large, comfy sofas to swap stories of the day's experiences, recharge their energy with cups of cappuccino, then enjoy hot bowls of soup and bread, and perhaps relax with a book before bedtime.

Mush never sounded so fun! Snuggling up in the blankets and enjoying the managed chaos of a sled ride, everypet will enjoy seeing the sights from a different vantage point.

“If there's time at the end when we get back to our accommodation, I might do some initial sketches for a watercolour painting," Foxy said, offering Reneen a toffee from the bag and then unwrapping one for himself.
“That sounds like a good plan, Foxy!" said Reneen. "Very hyggelig!"

"Well, I guess that's the point of travel, isn't it?" said Reneen. "To broaden your horizons and so on."

"What do you get when you cross an aeroplane with a magician, Reneen?" asked Soxy.
"I don't know, what?" asked Reneen in a resigned voice.
"A flying sorcerer!" cried Soxy.

Climbing quickly into the blue horizon on a sun filled day, everypet can gaze out the window and see the landscape below! Why, it almost resembles the drawing on the refrigerator of the amoeba from last week’s science lesson.

"Do you think invisible aeroplanes will ever be a thing, Seth?" queried Reneen. "For myself, I just can't see them taking off!"

Lucky enough to get the window seat, just beyond the tip of the wing, everypet can gaze at the clouds below, which at this height resemble cotton balls strewn on the bathroom floor.

CatchThis18 was distracted by the sounds of loud rustling as Reneen unfolded a very large tourist map, in the course of which she succeeded in knocking CatchThis18’s hat off.
“Put that away, do!” said CatchThis18 in exasperation. “We’re about to pose beside this amazing scene—the picture will be of your map if you don’t fold it up PDQ!”

“Ooh, it's just starting to get a bit cold, Reneen!” said Steak Sauce. “Can you hold my map while I dig out my scarf?"
Reneen good-naturedly took charge of Steak Sauce's possessions while she emptied her rucksack of a pack of sandwiches, a Thermos flask, a pair of galoshes, a bag of toffees, a paperback novel, a bottle of mineral water, an address book, some postage stamps, an assortment of different coloured biros, a bottle opener, a couple of old train tickets, a spool of thread, a handful of golden and silver moles, a door key, some shopping receipts, a screwdriver, a bottle of multivitamins, a lottery ticket and a selection of rather battered sachets of salt, sugar and tomato ketchup before locating the scarf right at the bottom. This she donned and then Reneen helped her put everything back in her rucksack.

"This is fabulous, farid," enthused Reneen. "I'll have this photo printed and framed and display it next to my ceramic model of Mount Fuji that I got in the little gift shop on the Icon tour, and the Venetian mask that was a souvenir from the fairground last autumn!"
"You'll have a fine collection of mementos, Reneen!" said farid.

Reneen opened her rucksack to find her hat. Violet Flame could see Reneen had a beret, a balaclava, a cricket cap, a Tam o' Shanter, a woolly bobble hat, a beanie, a deerstalker hat and a Peruvian chullo!
“Did you bring a Stetson too?” Violet Flame asked Reneen.
The Summit
Topping off over 20,000 feet, the summit of this majestic climb is much easier to top when soaring in a plane!
