"There are around a dozen ski resorts in Turkey boasting stunning snow-covered mountain ranges during the winter months. The highest peak in Turkey is Palandoken in the eastern region of Erzurum. It has the longest and steepest runs in the country."

"'Many believe that Noah's Ark landed on the Ararat volcano. The mountain is beautiful to look at and is home to incredible natural diversity. It’s one of the highlights of the country, so make sure to check it out when you visit,'" announced Koolio Sun.
"Are we climbing the mountain to look for the Ark?" queried Snuggles.
"Well, if you have stout climbing boots! It's over 16,000 feet!"

"Did you know that the birds called turkeys got their name from Turkey, Koolio Sun?" asked Jasper.
"No, I hadn't realised that, Jasper! It's a good job turkeys didn't get their name from The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland!"

The waiter placed milky-looking drinks in tumblers before Pynelope and Koolio Sun. "It smells, good, Koolio Sun, what is it?" queried Pynelope.
"It's Boza, an ancient fermented drink usually made from wheat, millet, barley, oats or bulgur. It's believed to have originated in Turkey more than 8000 years ago!"
"Are they hazelnuts on top?" asked Pynelope.
"No, they're actually crunchy roasted chickpeas, and a dusting of cinnamon!"
Sights at Mardin
Built in 1385, the Zinciriye Madrasa is also known as Sultan Isa Madrasa, it is a sight everypet will want to see while visiting Turkey. Rich in history and stories, any history buff will love walking the cobblestones of history.
