@ Scarlet Pathway
Euphoria Spark and Wings are excited to find out what is in store for them in the Autumn Experience! As they enter, they each receive a free map! It reads:
Autumn in Purple
A country ramble awaits the pets and after exploring woodland paths, a small settlement will be found. At the spice store they will find cinnamon, chillies, star anise and chestnuts, plus purple flowers for perfumery. They will skirt a small lake before seeing a host of pink and purple-hued flowers and plants. Don't forget to grab an apple or two to munch as you head out onto the next stage of our tour!

As we begin our journey we are welcomed by a wonderful scarlet pathway. With the vivid canopy above, the crunchy leaves under our feet, and the sun-kissed trees on the side of the trail, we anticipate what beauty lies ahead.

Episode 2/25

@ Illusion of Nightfall
Euphoria Spark and Lunaray were so rapt gazing at the scenery they almost forgot to shake paws before moving on to the next stage!

Proceeding along the trail something unexpected happens right away. The canopy becomes so dense it gives the illusion of impending nightfall. The light beckons you ahead.

@ Undulating Road
“Let’s pose with one of us at each side and I’ll set the self-timer to take a shot,” said Euphoria Spark to Whisper. “It’ll be a wonderful souvenir of our time here!”
Undulating Road
The light leads us to the remnants of a paved gently undulating road shrouded with trees just beginning to lose their leaves. We wonder what pets have journeyed through here in times gone by.

@ Autumn Rice Field
“Shall we take a selfie?” Euphoria Spark asked Kitty Boo as they drank in the peaceful scene and admired each other’s purchases of harvest produce.

This journey is definitely full of surprises! One never knows what to expect as they round the bend of life and this rice field is the perfect example. Who knew rice could grow here in the cool autumn temperatures?

@ Sunlight Road
Clarice shook paws with Euphoria Spark and was just enjoying the view when she was distracted by loud rustling as Euphoria Spark unfolded a very lengthy Autumn Experience itinerary, in the course of which she succeeded in knocking Clarice’s hat off. “Put that away, do!” snapped Clarice. “I’m about to take a photo of this amazing scene—the picture will be of your map if you don’t fold it up pronto!”
Sunlight Road
The undulating road has smoothed out and we are bathed in the warm rays of sunshine as they illuminate the path ahead and the glory of the autumn leaves.

@ Wild Blueberries
“Hey, Carruthers!” called out Euphoria Spark. “Come and have some of this—it’s delicious!”
Carruthers was glad to rest and enjoy the food Euphoria Spark shared with him.

Just as your tummy begins to rumble you spot these deeply colored wild blueberries in the brush beside the trail. The color is much deeper than the berries you have seen at the market and your mouth begins to water. Perfect timing and oh-so-refreshing!

@ Fresh Chestnuts
“Great to meet you again, Buddy!” said Euphoria Spark. “Come and have some of this farm-grown organic food—it’s absolutely yummy!”

As soon as my eyes catch the sight of these baskets of freshly harvested chestnuts, washed and ready to purchase, a familiar song gets stuck in my head. Is it too early to sing Christmas carols?

@ Vision in Violet
"I think I'll take a cutting of the plant in that tub over there," said Euphoria Spark. The label says it's 'vigorous' and 'fearless'."
Summer sniffed. "That's gardeners' talk for 'an invasive species that will take over your entire garden if permitted'!"

Pets who love the color purple will be captivated by the intense color of this gorgeous violet flower. The vendor claims it will last for weeks as a cut flower so no reason to leave without buying a bouquet.

@ Cinnamon Sticks and Star Anise
Bella greeted Euphoria Spark cheerily, recommending she expended some silver moles on the fresh harvest food before them.

Nothing smells like autumn like the aroma of hot spiced apple cider. Combine cinnamon sticks, star anise, oranges studded with whole cloves, brown sugar, allspice, nutmeg, and apple cider into a pot and steep them all together for a favorite fall drink.

“You know, Cicero said 'If you have a garden and a library you have everything you need',” mused Bear.
"I don't think I've met Cicero," said Euphoria Spark. "Is he on this tour?"

Draco and Euphoria Spark shook paws with each other and compared notes as to how their respective trips had gone so far, and which was the most delicious harvest item they had each come across.

@ Log Cabin in the Woods
“What have you got in your tote bag, Redington?” asked Euphoria Spark. “It looks very full!”
“I’ve come prepared for anything the weather can throw at us, Euphoria Spark,” responded Redington. “There’s deck shoes, snowshoes, tennis shoes, flip-flops, flippers, walking boots, Wellington boots—you name them, I’ve got them!”
Log Cabin in the Woods
Ahhh, here it is, our lodging for tonight. We came upon this log cabin just in time as I need to stop and rest awhile. This cozy cabin in the woods looks so warm and inviting. We should get a good night's sleep in this peaceful spot! I do hope they have a porch swing to relax on!

Euphoria Spark and Blaze pooled their silver moles, hoping to buy a small souvenir or two to remind them of this beautiful place!

“I’m going to ask if I can take a cutting of this,” Willow said to Euphoria Spark. “This would look just fine in a half barrel in my front garden!”

As daylight fades into darkness the earth is bathed in soft pink and purple diffused hues. An old white picket fence stands guard as it has for years.

“What’s this flower called?” Euphoria Spark said to Freyja. “Er—I only know the Latin name for it,” said Freyja and hastily changed the subject.

Pale pink and dark purple leaves make this a quite dramatic poinsettia plant! And no, it's not too early to think about poinsettias because if we want them to look like this they need to be placed into a dark room several months before Christmas so that the leaves change colors.

“I could stay here forever, Euphoria Spark,” said CUPID. “This is an amazing place!”
“Well, you never know what lies ahead, CUPID. I wouldn't be surprised if the next stop is even better!” said Euphoria Spark.
