"There's a statue in Hjørring in Northern Jutland made of recyled materials showing a white unicorn on a plinth of crushed materials," remarked Serendipity.
"Wow! What's the Danish word for unicorn?" queried nellie.

Chloe Rose considered this. "Flag of Denmark. White cross on a red field. You know, when I can't sleep, I list in my head all the national flags in the world that use red and white only—there's about twenty of them, you know. Then I go on to blue and white—I'm digressing. I don't know; what's the answer?"
"The Danish flag, the Dannebrog remains the oldest state flag in the world still in use by an independent nation. It has been recognised as in use from 1219," replied Serendipity.

"Have you seen on our itinerary, Pandette, we'll be visiting Møns Klint? Apparently it's a huge series of beautiful white chalk cliffs leading down to a beach where it says you’re almost guaranteed to find a few fossils! Then at the GeoCenter Møns Klint you can see dinosaur reconstructions, watch 3D films and visit an excavation cave to try your hand at being a real life palaeontologist."

"According to our tour guide, Sly, the two oldest amusement parks in the world are in Denmark! How's that for a fun fact? Denmark is home to the world's oldest amusement park, Bakken, as well as the second oldest one, Tivoli Gardens. Bakken is just a short 20 minute train ride from Copenhagen central station and Tivoli Gardens is located just on the opposite side of the street from the station in the centre of Copenhagen."

"If we were here just a couple of months later, Twiggy, we might be able to experience the Black Sun," remarked Serendipity, studying the brochure.
"Whatever is that, Serendipity?"
"It sounds a bit strange, but the Black Sun is when, each spring and autumn, hundreds of thousands of starlings gather at the Wadden Sea National Park and create incredible patterns in the sky at dusk!"

"Oh, wow, Schnupfen! In Copenhagen we'll be going to a bright pink café called Unicorns & Rainbows! It serves ice cream sprinkled with edible flowers and crumbled meringue, and has its very own pink unicorn on the wall. It says it's the perfect food for unicorns and unicorn hunters alike!"

The Island of Møn is in the Baltic Sea and is a must-see for any nature lover! Check out this scenic 4-mile route of chalk cliffs about two hours' drive from Copenhagen -- there are amazing views from the top of the cliffs.

Gjógv, Faroe Islands
Gorge, named after a 200-metre sea-filled gorge that travels north to the sea. The village was first mentioned in 1584 but it is thought to have been in existence a lot longer. The Gjógv incline railway is the only operating railway in the Faroe Islands and it was installed to transport goods from boats.

"In the 1840s, some Austrian bakers settled in Denmark and introduced the now well-known and much-loved pastry. For this reason Danish pastry is actually called wienerbrød or 'Viennese bread' in Denmark."

Wood Island, is the northernmost island in the Faroe Islands. It has become a very important bird area for breeding birds, some of which are the Atlantic Puffin, Black-Legged Kittiwakes and Common Guillemots.

"One reason for the Danes' happiness is the importance of hygge, the Danish way of enjoying quality time with friends and family. It can be many things, such as candle-lit dinners, wine, relaxed nights in. It's hard to explain," said Serendipity.
"Well, we certainly came across it this time last year in the Huskies, Hijinks and Hygge experience! We had some very cosy chats with all the pets over hot chocolate by the fire every evening in our accommodation!" replied Kitty Boo.

Sea And Rock, Faroe Islands
There are no native trees on the Faroe Islands. There is evidence that there may have been some stands of Birch and Hazel before human settlement. There are a few stands of trees that have been planted between 1800 and 1900. This location was also used in the James Bond movie, No Time To Die, and one can see why it was chosen.
