Tinkerbell is questing! Episode 1/25

Well, Tinkerbell, where are you sending us off to play this time? asked Petal Townsend, the accordian playing penguin for the up and coming rock band Pebbles and the Gravel.
Eh, well band might be a better word, whoever heard of a rock band with an accordian?
You're headed off to some great venues, don't worry about it! I've given Jethro the gps coordinates for the places you gotta groove to, so he'll be your official roadie and driver, replied Tinkerbell.
Petal called to her bandmates that they better get the car loaded up and get ready for some musical mayhem.

Tinkerbell is questing! Episode 2/25

Be sure you don't forget the amplifier cords again, the audience can't hear our sweet tunes if the speakers aren't plugged in, said Petal to the rest of the band.
Oh Petal, you're so beautiful when you take charge! said Roo, the cockatoo, who's been a "band aid" (formally known as a groupie) and smitten with Petal. Tinkerbell, are we going to be getting paid this time, asked Pebble, I need to make rent check this month! The landlord really wasn't impressed with the new vinyl I tried to pay with last month
Of course you're getting paid, replied Tinkerbell and after my cut, you'll have enough for rent.. I'm sure!

Tinkerbell is questing! Episode 3/25

Jethro supervised the loading of the band and the instruments, warning everyone to be sure to strap the drums down tight, the last time they came loose and kids in the neighborhood thought the ice cream truck was going down the street.
Tinkerbell said Have a great tour, and I will catch you on the B side! I'm off to the Bahamas for the week! Call my cellphone if you need anything!

Tinkerbell is questing! Episode 4/25

Tinkerbell yelled WAIT! WAIT! YOU FORGOT THE BONGO DRUMS! Petal rolled her eyes, and Jethro came to a screeching halt, hoping this was the only thing forgotten. Roo chirped from atop the car, squawking his love loudly for Petal, who blushed a little.

Tinkerbell is questing! Episode 5/25

Jethro grasped the Bongos and started pulling away when Pebbles declared that she needed to use a tree. Slightly exasperated, Jethro waited patiently, while Tinkerbell rambled on and on about how wonderful this new tour was going to be. No one was really listening, and the chimp, Rinngo, was already tapping on the back of Jethro's seat, keeping a good rhythm, and Meghann almost rolled her trunk up in the window.
And what is that smell? wondered Pebbles when she got back in the car.

Tinkerbell is questing! Episode 6/25

Finally rolling down the road, the band enthusiastically belting out road tunes, and Jethro navigating through the countryside. Pebbles, with her long neck sticking out the moon roof, almost choked on a June bug, decided that she might just pass on the next stanza of sweet Caroline (bum bum bum). Rinngo loves this one, he gets to bang on the drums, and Roo loves to sing it to Petal, who's slightly embarrassed to have her very own super fan.

OH NO! cried Elvis, Jethro's brother and lead guitarist. What did Tinkerbell get us into this time? Jethro, are you sure this is the right place we're playing? Jethro, surveying the large crowd of fans, and the "stage" set up for them, is pretty sure this is it. Secretly, he's not surprised Tinkerbell set them up to play here. There's always some drama with every venue. Jumping out of the car, the band is greeted enthusiastic farm animals as well.

Wading through some straw and hay, which Petal wished she could say was clean to the stage, the adoring Roo perched almost on her shoulder. Now, Roo! You know you shouldn't be on stage with the band, you're a band aid!
Yes, but look around, Petal! There's fans everywhere! Just play your fingers off and give a good concert! And afterwards, I'll give your wings a good rubdown! Petal sighed and she didn't want to give Roo false hope, but a massage does sound delightful!

Tinkerbell is questing! Episode 9/25

Jethro, tired of just being the roadie, decided that this would be his perfect opportunity to sing the solo in that crowd favorite, Hound Dog! Tilting back and howling from the tips of his toes, he let one long howl go. Petal, startled by the piercing howl, glanced over at Roo, as he was giving her the Cupid Eye!

It actually went better than I thought, Elvis exclaimed excitedly! And with that, stepped unwittingly into a fresh, steaming pile of "adoration" left by one of the barnyard fans.
You better clean that all off, said Count, the piggie bassist. No one wants to smell that all the way to the next gig.

Tinkerbell is questing! Episode 11/25

After driving all night and all day, the car was pretty ripe, and Jethro was happy to find they are at the new venue. Looks like Tinkerbell set them up for a carnival stage this time. And watching the band mates unload, it remined Jethro of a carnival clown car, and he snickered a little to himself.

Tinkerbell is questing! Episode 12/25

While setting up, Jethro and Petal got an extreme weather alert that there is a fast moving storm rearing up quickly, and it just might rain on the concert. Petal personally loves the rain, but knows it'll wreak havoc on the instruments if they get wet! The group gathered quickly as the fans started streaming in for a prayer it blows over.

And just like that, a bolt of lightening streaked down and snapped Pebbles with a big BOLT JOLT! The other band members ducked quickly for cover, while Jethro ran to find the ambulance crew! Poor Pebbles, with a trickle of smoke wafting out her ears, was dazed and confused!

Tinkerbell is questing! Episode 14/25

The ambulance crew quickly discovered that Pebbles would only half fit in the bus, and after giving her a thorough check, declared that the only damage was some singed fur and most likely a blooming fear of storms! Pebbles, however, was nonplussed and clamored to get back out on the stage. The fans had long since ducked to secure cover, but everyone agreed, as long as Pebbles wanted to get out there, they would close with the favorite tune, "thunder only happens when it's raining, players only love you when they're playing"..........

The fans, gathering back at the stage, singing along, demanded an encore from their favorite rock band! Petal, realizing that Pebbles was singing off key, reached over and unplugged her mic, and Roo held up the lyrics while Petal starting taking over, singing "on the road again" for the finale!

"Everybody's gone surfin'! Surfin USA" could be heard by passersby's as the band enjoyed the scenery along the oceanside. Roo, trying to woo Petal, while the others in the band were distracted, is whispering sweet nothings to her!

Petal, deciding that maybe she and Roo should have a talk, stroll along the beachside. "Roo, I know you are my biggest fan, and I love that you're always nearby, helping me with everything that needs worked out, but I just don't know if a Penguin and a Cockatoo can truly have a romantical relationship." said Petal. "Well, Petal, we're both birds, and have feathers, so what could possibly be holding us back?" wooed Roo. Convinced if he makes a rational argument, he might gain some (webbed footing!

Blimey! Where's Petal? asked Rinngo, settling in behind his drum kit. The band mates are puzzled, as Petal is never late for a gig. You know, it's awfully romantic to walk along a beach, I wonder if she and Roo are finally declaring their mutual attraction to each other, asked Meghann.

Rushing onto the stage at the final warmup song, Petal started wailing on her squeezebox, an old favorite zydeco song she knows. The rest of the members quickly join in and soon the crowd is surfing and singing along. But where's Roo? Oh there he is! Is that lipstick on his collar!

Tinkerbell is questing! Episode 20/25

Jethro pulled off quickly for a little map reading and to stretch his paws, Roo calling his attention the city lights in the foreground. Pebbles, always dreaming of singing in wee Paris, is growing excited that this might be her big break. Petal has been especially quiet after the beach episode, and taking on some good natured jokes about what do you get when you cross a penguin with a cockatoo? I don't know, do you?

Great, just great! We're due to perform our first set in an hour, and we've got a flat! said Pebbles.

Well, on the upside, the flat was outside the bar we're playing at, said Jethro. I've called PPP, and they're sending someone out to fix it.

Roo, slightly put off with the rough ambience of the bar, keeps one close eye on Petal, and the other on the bouncer, who looks like he wants to take a bite out of the band!

Tinkerbell is questing! Episode 23/25

After playing a few sets, the band finishes and can't shake the dirt off their fur fast enough! Happy to see that PPP has come and changed the flat on the car, as they are loading up Tinkerbell hails them. Well, gang! How did the tour go? Weren't you impressed with the high class venues I booked you this time? Why, we'll all be making rent and then some this month.

Are you kidding me? This has been a terrible tour! Cow patties, electric shock and this last one! The customers were growling at us! cried Petal. Tinkerbell looked a little embarrassed, but much tanner, since returning from Aruba.

Tinkerbell whoa! Just wait a minute! You mean to tell me that you didn't enjoy this tour? Why, I put so much time and effort into finding people who would enjoy your, um, eclectic genre! Maybe once you all get loaded into the car and have something to eat, you'll feel better about all of this! Tell me, Petal, isn't there ONE good thing about this tour?

Well, Tinkerbell, one good thing came from this! Roo, my band aid, super fan, is now my love interest. I was so busy with the music, I didn't even notice his interest in me in a romantic sort of way! I had my reservations once I noticed, because what do you get when you cross a cockatoo with a penguin? I don't know, but I am willing to find out!
