"Have you seen this building in our brochure for Montreal, Wily?" queried Tinkerbell. "The Dominion Square Building, built in the 1920s, was at the time the largest building in Canada, and contained Montreal's first escalators."
Wily leaned across to take a peek. "It looks very Art Deco, Tinkerbell!" she commented.
Tinkerbell frowned. "It says it's Greco-Roman! Perhaps that's more on the inside."
Quebec Sunset
The last slivers of the day sliding silently down the darkening mountains, splashing the sky with pastels of color, begging the observer to watch the kaleidoscope twisting each color until it disappears into the night.

“Hey, Rhian!” said Tinkerbell. “Have you seen what it says in our itinerary? ‘The Montmorency Falls in Quebec are taller than the cascades you’ll find at Niagara! The falls here measure around 83 m or 272 feet in height, making them a staggering natural feature.’”
“Well I never!” declared Rhian.
Quebec First Frost
The snap of cold had left it's footprint ever so delicately on the grounds, clinging to branches of the trees, skimming the surface of the small lake. Summer dreams have faded to memories, to warm you up on a frosty dawn.

"What's that blue and white flag in the street there, Tinkerbell?" queried Dave. "It's not the maple leaf!"
"That's the flag for the province of Quebec, Dave!" replied Tinkerbell. "It's a blue field divided into quarters by a central white cross, and within each quarter is a white fleur-de-lis. It's often referred to as the Fleurdelisé."

The moon, aglow with the sun's reflection of color, rises slowly over the dark forest, shimmering on the lake below. If only the camera could truly capture the glorious sight you see.

“Chef’s making Pâté Chinois tonight,” announced Tinkerbell, grinning at Max.
“Chinese pâté?” hazarded Max. “Is it good? What’s the joke?”
“It’s actually quite a close equivalent of English shepherd’s pie. It’s made with minced beef, onion and mashed potato.”
A pet behind them leaned over the back of the bus seat. “If it’s made with minced beef, isn’t it cottage pie?”

"I love Quebec City!" enthused Tinkerbell. "It's so historic, and although they're hard on the paws, the narrow, winding cobbled streets are lovely to look at."
"I agree!" said swinger. "It oozes history and charm like an old European city."

"It says here the Quebec Winter Carnival Festival, known as 'Carnaval' is the largest in the world. It started in 1894," said Rexxie.
"But is it more spectacular than the one we heard about in Venice in July?" queried Tinkerbell.
"I'll say! It says 'Hundreds of tons of water are used to create snow sculptures, including an incredible ice palace. There are various competitions, such as dog sledding, canoe and sleigh racing, and things really get hopping when thousands descend for the night parade, ushered in by a boisterous character known as the Bonhomme.' "

"There's a lot of paws that will be soaking in warm salty water back at the hotel tonight, I reckon, Tinkerbell!" remarked VioletMystic.

Percé Rock appears from a distance like a ship under sail. It is one of the world's largest natural arches located in water and is considered a geologically and historically rich natural icon of Quebec. It is a major attraction in the Gaspésie region.
