Sapphire and Benjamin B. Buzzer are excited to find out what is in store for them in the Autumn Experience! As they enter, they each receive a free map! It reads:
Fall Fairground North
All the fun of the fair is here to provide your pet with entertainment and thrills, from waterslide to big wheel. And has your pet a strong enough stomach for a death-defying rollercoaster ride? To help restore your pet's equilibrium after all the excitements of the fairground rides, there are stalls selling hot potato snacks, popcorn, toffee apples, candy and delicious cakes and other yummy delights made from the autumn harvest produce! We hope everypet will leave clutching at least one of the fun carnival novelties!

Fairings is the traditional name for edible souvenirs sold at fairs throughout England. These ginger fairings became associated with Cornish fairs and are still popular in the region.

Mulrey, just about to board the next ride, paused and looked around the fairground. "I was just wondering if they had one of those nice, gentle rides where you sit in, you know, giant teacups," he said wistfully. Sapphire grinned. "C'mon, Mulrey, this ride should be on your bucket list! Not that you're going to kick the bucket for many years yet!"

"Would you like a fork with that, Sapphire?" asked Sapphire Rose, as their respective servings of food were placed on the counter in front of them.

Moon Dancer met Sapphire at one of the refreshment stands. Moon Dancer groaned slightly and clutched her tum. “I’m going to go and sit down for a while first, Sapphire. I need to recover from that last ride!”

Whilst other pets were staggering dizzily off the ride, Shadow and Sapphire decided to go round again!

Sheba and Sapphire watched the antics on the waterslide as they stood in the line of pets waiting to board the next ride. "Remember when Foxy leant too far over the bridge in Meadowlands that time, and fell in the pond with a huge splash?" asked Sapphire. "My stomach muscles ached from laughing for days!"

The world's oldest roller coasters descended from specially constructed hills of snow in the gardens of palaces around the Russian capital, St Petersburg, in the 18th century. The slides were built to a height of between 70 ft - 80 ft (21-24 m), had a 50 degree drop. These slides became popular with the Russian upper class."Russian mountains" remains the term for roller coasters in many languages, such as Spanish (la montaña rusa), Italian (montagne russe), and French (les montagnes russes). Ironically, the Russian term for roller coaster, "amerikanskie gorki", translates literally as "American mountains."

As sunset falls, you enjoy the ever-changing view as you chug a little further upwards and then pause as each pod takes on its precious cargo of pets eager to enjoy the ride. Then when all the pods are full, the wheel starts to turn, building up speed!

"That's me with a very happy tum, Sapphire," observed Stripes. "Perhaps I'll just have a sugary doughnut or two to fill in the chinks."
