Denmark is home to the world's oldest amusement park, Bakken, as well as the second oldest one, Tivoli Gardens. Bakken is just a short 20 minute train ride from Copenhagen central station and Tivoli Gardens is located just on the opposite side of the street from the station in the centre of Copenhagen."

"One reason for the Danes' happiness is the importance of hygge, the Danish way of enjoying quality time with friends and family. It can be many things, such as candle-lit dinners, wine, relaxed nights in. It's hard to explain," said Monk.
"Well, we certainly came across it this time last year in the Huskies, Hijinks and Hygge experience! We had some very cosy chats with all the pets over hot chocolate by the fire every evening in our accommodation!" replied nellie.

"I guess all the cycling helps with the Danes' sense of wellbeing. Copenhagen looks to be very bike-friendly," remarked Monk.
"Plus Denmark is relatively flat and isn't uphill both ways, as is the case sometimes when we go cycling at home!" responded Starburst.

"If we were here just a couple of months later, Brigit, we might be able to experience the Black Sun," remarked Monk, studying the brochure.
"Whatever is that, Monk?"
"It sounds a bit strange, but the Black Sun is when, each spring and autumn, hundreds of thousands of starlings gather at the Wadden Sea National Park and create incredible patterns in the sky at dusk!"
"It sounds amazing!" said Brigit.

With a rime crusting over the water lapping at the shoreline, the Wadden Sea is the longest continuous stretch of natural wetlands in Europe, this stretch is in Ribe.

"Did you know that Danes have the largest Fourth of July celebration outside of the US?" said Monk.
Rosie was intrigued. "Interesting, Monk! Why is that?"

The Island of Møn is in the Baltic Sea and is a must-see for any nature lover! Check out this scenic 4-mile route of chalk cliffs about two hours' drive from Copenhagen -- there are amazing views from the top of the cliffs.

Gjógv, Faroe Islands
Gorge, named after a 200-metre sea-filled gorge that travels north to the sea. The village was first mentioned in 1584 but it is thought to have been in existence a lot longer. The Gjógv incline railway is the only operating railway in the Faroe Islands and it was installed to transport goods from boats.

Wood Island, is the northernmost island in the Faroe Islands. It has become a very important bird area for breeding birds, some of which are the Atlantic Puffin, Black-Legged Kittiwakes and Common Guillemots.

Sea And Rock, Faroe Islands
There are no native trees on the Faroe Islands. There is evidence that there may have been some stands of Birch and Hazel before human settlement. There are a few stands of trees that have been planted between 1800 and 1900. This location was also used in the James Bond movie, No Time To Die, and one can see why it was chosen.

"There's a museum in North Jutland devoted to the Good Luck Troll, and tells the story of how Thomas Dam created them back in the 1930s, Monk. I bet that's a story and a half!"

The Faroe Islands are an archipelago in the North Atlantic Ocean. Situated halfway between Norway and Iceland. With 1,100 km (687 mi) of coastline, no point in the Faroe islands is further from the sea than 5 km (3 mi). There is no shortage of incredible landscapes.

The Highland cow is the oldest registered breed of cattle in the world. They have a double coat, the shaggy, oily outer coat covers a softer, fluffier undercoat so the cows keep warm and dry in chilly, wet weather.
