Drama In The Sky
The sky is not opening up, but it sure seems that way, with the brilliant flashes of light and the loud crack as the air expands. Get indoors as fast as you can, and keep your pets safe as not many will enjoy the dramatic storm taking place outside.

@ Fluffy Clouds

Purple Flower Power Egg
My pets are in awe of these beautiful eggs—they would love to try to paint their own one year. Easter and spring are times of joy as the earth awakens, plants are pushing forth from the soil, and the days are becoming warmer. Many baby animals are born in the spring, and life is burgeoning. May these eggs bring you joy and be a reminder of the earth renewing itself.

Fluffy Clouds
Looking like a whipped-up marshmallow spread in the sky. I propose a day of relaxing, we will find a field and lay down on some grass and look up at the clouds and play a game about what they look like to each of us.

@ Rainbow Over The Grey Sea
The ancient Greeks believed that there were four elements that everything was made up of: earth, water, air and fire. This theory was suggested around 450 BCE, and it was later supported and added to by Aristotle. Aristotle also suggested that there was a fifth element, aether, because it seemed strange that the stars would be made out of earthly elements. He would be surprised to learn that they are in fact made up of many elements found on earth, and are so hot they could be said to be on fire all the time!
Rainbow Over The Grey Sea
A spectacular rainbow just touching the land. Rainbows and hummingbirds (which are like tiny flying rainbows) bring smiles to all who view them. The science behind what makes a rainbow is interesting but it will never be as much fun as the stories you can dream up to explain that bow of colours in the sky.

@ Balloons In The Sky
"Oh, sammy! It says in our tour guide that no one knows who invented the fire hydrant, because its patent was destroyed in a fire in Washington in 1836!" declared Mirabilis.
"That is ironic for sure!" responded sammy.
Balloons In The Sky
Some like balloons a lot—some, however, do not. Balloons can be colourful, or have fun saying on them—if you choose to enjoy balloons, please dispose of them safely after, so they don’t pollute the water and land and cause distress for our animal friends.

“You know what, Mirabilis?” said Hansi (Icky Bird Who Can't Fly). “Seeing all these amazing photographs makes me want to take up photography myself!”
“Sounds like a great idea!" replied Mirabilis. "There’s an evening class you can join when we get back!"

The moon is playing a game—it has enlisted the help of the clouds, showing its face one moment, then hiding behind a passing cloud.

"The Great Fire of London in 1666 gave rise to many changes, you know, Mirabilis," remarked Akiren Kurumiya (Joker). "Many streets were widened across London. New building regulations meant that instead of wood, brick had to be used for all houses."

The Milky Way Galaxy, with spiral arms outstretched, moves through the cosmos devouring other galaxies—and far into the future, the Milky Way Galaxy will itself be devoured. From our viewpoint on Earth, it appears as a milky band—millions of stars lighting up the deep dark of space.

The Boeing-Stearman Modle 75 Biplane, radial engine, built during the 1930s-40s and at least 10,626 were built in the U.S.A. This plane was a military trainer aircraft.

@ Classic Biplane CB-1
“Let's just drink in this exhibit, shall we, Mirabilis?” suggested Flora, sinking down on a convenient chair.
Mirabilis agreed it was well worth spending some time there!

This classic Hatz CB-1, 1960s biplane is built from a kit. The CB-1 is a tandem dual-control two-seat biplane with fixed tailwheel landing gear and is powered by a variety of nose-mounted small engines. Steel tube fuselage and tail with wooden wings.

@ Sunglasses Everyone
“Ooh, it's just starting to get a bit cold, Mirabilis!” said b-rok. “Can you hold my map while I dig out my jumper?"
Mirabilis good-naturedly took charge of b-rok's possessions while he emptied his rucksack of a pack of sandwiches, a Thermos flask, a pair of galoshes, a bag of toffees, a paperback novel, a bottle of mineral water, an address book, some postage stamps, an assortment of different coloured biros, a bottle opener, a couple of old train tickets, a handful of golden and silver moles, a door key, some shopping receipts, a screwdriver, a bottle of multivitamins, a lottery ticket and a selection of rather battered sachets of salt, sugar and tomato ketchup before locating the jumper right at the bottom. This he donned and then Mirabilis helped him put everything back in his rucksack.
Sunglasses Everyone
The sun is so bright today that you really need to wear sunglasses if you hope to avoid a headache and eye strain. If there is not enough light, you cannot see—too much light, and you cannot see. The perfect amount of sun, just like the perfect porridge, is what we want.

@ A Mystical Place
Water expands by 9% when it freezes. Frozen water (ice) is lighter than water, which is why ice floats in water.
A Mystical Place
A small craft sets off on an adventure; the pets are excited and wonder what they will see. Passing through a bank of clouds, the sea and sky change. This is not any place the pets have ever seen before. Were they magically transported to a new planet. Is this a dream, are they all still at home tucked up in bed.
They gaze in wonder at the stars that shine brighter and closer than any stars they are used to; the water is as still as a sheet of glass, the pets want to reach down and grab a star reflection, so solid do they appear.

@ When Sky And Water Become As One
When humans and animals breathe, we give off an odorless gas called carbon dioxide, or CO2. Plants use this gas, along with sunlight, to make food—and oxygen too! This process is called photosynthesis.

It is easy to see how one could lose their way when out at sea when the sky and sea are the same colour and there are no other guiding landmarks. Beautiful and peaceful to look upon from a safe and sure place.

When the sky is filled with clouds and depending on the time of day you can get the most spectacular colour displays, from light pastels to vibrant hues. Ever-changing and ever-fascinating, always look up or you may miss a most marvellous show.

@ Touch The Moon
"The Great Fire of 1666 started in London, on Pudding Lane, in a baker's shop. The baker believed he had put the fire out but in the middle of the night the fire grew and his house was in flames. Pudding Lane is still there today. If you want to visit it, Monument is the nearest tube station. The place where the fire started is also marked by a monument topped by a fiery gold ornament," said Mirabilis.
"It makes it sound like it's the only monument in London, Mirabilis!" chuckled BOB.
Touch The Moon
If you walk across that field and pass that gnarled tree and continue to walk just a bit further, I bet you could touch the moon, maybe even carry it home in a basket—though then what would others do when wanting some moonlight.

At the end of the day—it is time to wing homeward, flying past the orange sky, the reflections in the water below follow along, with no choice of their own.

@ Heron On A Misty Mornings
"Why do we get sea breezes, Mirabilis?" queried Coal.
Mirabilis looked baffled. "I don't know, Coal! We just do!"
Coal read out from the brochure: " 'Sea breezes occur because heat from the sun takes longer to warm the sea than the land, creating a difference in air pressure.' So—there it is."

Do you like fog and mist? Sounds can be distorted so this solitary heron is listening carefully as it walks along a mist-covered shore, searching for breakfast.

The air in Earth’s atmosphere is made up of approximately 78 percent nitrogen and 21 percent oxygen. Air also has small amounts of lots of other gases, too, such as carbon dioxide, neon, and hydrogen.

Substantial Cloud
Have you ever seen such a substantial cloud, a cloud with so much personality it almost seems as if it could talk to you? What would it say if it began to speak? Would it tell you where it formed, what it had seen as it travelled across the great blue sky, would it be able to say where it was headed and what it would do when it arrived?

A Day In A Balloon
Oh, what fun! We are all going on a balloon ride—high in the air. The pets have packed their favourite snacks and brought their scarves—in case the air is cool. They are chattering and chirping about what they might see once the balloon is in the air.

The doldrums is a wind-free area around the equator where sailing ships used to get stuck for weeks. Hence the phrase ‘in the doldrums’.

@ A Very Grey Day
“What have you got in your rucksack, Ladybug?” asked Mirabilis. “It looks very full!”
“I’ve come prepared for anything, Mirabilis,” responded Ladybug. “There’s canvas deck shoes, tennis shoes, flip-flops, sandshoes, walking boots, sandals, loafers—you name it, I’ve got it!”
A Very Grey Day
There are blustery days and snowy days, but I think this type of day would make a particular little donkey happy. Not everyone will love a grey day—on the bright side—when the sun does break through, it is such a delight that the dim greyness was worth it.

Rainbow Over The Sea
I wonder how many rainbows are in the sky—all over the world—at any given moment. Rainbows seem to bring a lot of happiness even if there is not a pot of gold at the end—maybe the real treasure is the joy they bring.

@ Electrical Show
As Mirabilis's experience of "Sky" comes to an end, she receives a wonderful gift!
Flowering Branch, Violet
Walking down the street, marvelling at the flowers awakening to the spring warmth. The new buds on trees bloom into a dazzling array of blossoms delighting the senses and gladening the heart. These wonderful violet blooms adorning delicate branches are a welcome addition to the garden.

Electrical Show
Bolts of energy, radiating light—flung downward from unseen hands—pierce the land.
