Harry steps off the boat onto Aegis with fellow traveller Pinky. Time for a look around, but first a long stretch after the voyage!

This rocky bay provides the perfect place for anypet to rest, play with the numerous pebbles and watch the changing patterns of sunlight on the stone outcrops and distant peaks, or perhaps to dip a cautious paw into the unceasing sea waves running in and back out.

Anypet will enjoy exploring the sand dunes with their sharply pointed grey-green leaves and large spikes of creamy-yellow flowers of marram grass in the summer, the backdrop to a sandy beach and the sea.

This beautiful little bay is irresistible to pets who can’t wait to scamper or flap over the golden sand to get to the top of the stony peninsula and gaze far out to the horizon over the sea.

Arriving at such a wonderful location spurred Harry on to keep on trekking. However Minerva sat down, refusing to budge, complaining of blisters on her paws...

A feat of engineering that certainly stands out in the countryside. It’s a place to stop and dream of where the trains thundering past will be going!

Harry and Riley looked around in awe, wishing they'd thought to pack a picnic to enjoy here!

Harry had to travel on alone, as Waddles declared she had found her nirvana, and had no intention of moving on!

While Harry was whistling through his teeth as they ambled through another breathtaking scene, Sugar Sweet was secretly wishing she had packed ear plugs, or gaffer tape for Harry's mug!

Admiring the view, Harry felt genuinely glad he had taken Audrey's advice on where the friends would meet up!

Harry moved on to shake the next paw, oblivious to the fact that he'd also shaken Aussie, who had wandered off to pick wildflowers along the way...

As birds fly home to roost and busy pets retire for the night, the West Pasture in Aegis becomes darker and quiet in the setting sun, waiting for the first stirrings from nocturnal pets who are active during the night.

@ Island: Aegis
Harry finally makes it back to the landing stage, where schrute is also about to embark and go home. What an adventure it has been! Harry pockets a map of Aegis as a momento. The guidebook says:
Island: Aegis
When their vessel carefully manoeuvres past the rocks to reach the landing stage, the pets can jump out and explore this delightful little island. There are beautiful, relaxing sandy beaches, rocky hills to climb, a viaduct and old castle ruin to explore, green pastures to take a picnic hamper, woods and forests to ramble in, rivers to jump over, apples to pick and there are flowers galore!
