My pets are in awe of these beautiful eggs—they would love to try to paint their own one year. Easter and spring are times of joy as the earth awakens, plants are pushing forth from the soil, and the days are becoming warmer. Many baby animals are born in the spring, and life is burgeoning. May these eggs bring you joy and be a reminder of the earth renewing itself.

Looking like a whipped-up marshmallow spread in the sky. I propose a day of relaxing, we will find a field and lay down on some grass and look up at the clouds and play a game about what they look like to each of us.

The strongest winds in the solar system are on Saturn where they reach speeds of over 1,100mph.

A spectacular rainbow just touching the land. Rainbows and hummingbirds (which are like tiny flying rainbows) bring smiles to all who view them. The science behind what makes a rainbow is interesting but it will never be as much fun as the stories you can dream up to explain that bow of colours in the sky.

Some like balloons a lot—some, however, do not. Balloons can be colourful, or have fun saying on them—if you choose to enjoy balloons, please dispose of them safely after, so they don’t pollute the water and land and cause distress for our animal friends.

"Oh, goodness! I've no idea, Petula, but I imagine they're pretty old!" responded Heleena.
Petula grinned. "Windmills have been in use since 200 BCE. They were first developed in Persia and China."

The Milky Way Galaxy, with spiral arms outstretched, moves through the cosmos devouring other galaxies—and far into the future, the Milky Way Galaxy will itself be devoured. From our viewpoint on Earth, it appears as a milky band—millions of stars lighting up the deep dark of space.

"It says in our tour guide that 96.5% of water on Earth is in our oceans, covering 71% of the surface of our planet," remarked Petula.
"That's amazing, Petula!" responded Boycee.

"At the time of the Great Fire of London in 1666 there was no fire brigade such as we have today. Men from the Navy used gunpowder to blow up houses in the path of the fire to halt its spread!"
"Goodness me, Smokey! Drastic, or what? Did it work?" queried Petula.
"It sort of worked—eventually! But it took some days, during which time a large part of London had been destroyed."

The doldrums is a wind-free area around the equator where sailing ships used to get stuck for weeks. Hence the phrase ‘in the doldrums’.

The sun is so bright today that you really need to wear sunglasses if you hope to avoid a headache and eye strain. If there is not enough light, you cannot see—too much light, and you cannot see. The perfect amount of sun, just like the perfect porridge, is what we want.

"Art galleries can be hard on the paws, can't they, blue sunshine?" remarked Petula.
"Just think of the café and gift shop at the end, Petula! That keeps me going!"
A Mystical Place
A small craft sets off on an adventure; the pets are excited and wonder what they will see. Passing through a bank of clouds, the sea and sky change. This is not any place the pets have ever seen before. Were they magically transported to a new planet. Is this a dream, are they all still at home tucked up in bed.
They gaze in wonder at the stars that shine brighter and closer than any stars they are used to; the water is as still as a sheet of glass, the pets want to reach down and grab a star reflection, so solid do they appear.

"The Great Fire of London in 1666 gave rise to many changes, you know, Petula," remarked Hope. "Many streets were widened across London. New building regulations meant that instead of wood, brick had to be used for all houses."

It is easy to see how one could lose their way when out at sea when the sky and sea are the same colour and there are no other guiding landmarks. Beautiful and peaceful to look upon from a safe and sure place.

@ Touch The Moon
Air pollution is measured with the Air Quality Index, or AQI. The lower the AQI, the cleaner the air is. However, if you are outside when the AQI is over 100, it’s about the same as breathing in exhaust from a car all day! Things that cause poor air quality are forest fires and cities with lots of car traffic. If the AQI is higher than 100 you shouldn’t spend too much time outside.

If you walk across that field and pass that gnarled tree and continue to walk just a bit further, I bet you could touch the moon, maybe even carry it home in a basket—though then what would others do when wanting some moonlight.

"The Great Fire of 1666 started in London, on Pudding Lane, in a baker's shop. The baker believed he had put the fire out but in the middle of the night the fire grew and his house was in flames. Pudding Lane is still there today. If you want to visit it, Monument is the nearest tube station. The place where the fire started is also marked by a monument topped by a fiery gold ornament," said Petula.
"It makes it sound like it's the only monument in London, Petula!" chuckled Mrs. Dylan.

@ Heron On A Misty Mornings
"After the Great Fire of London in 1666, businessmen started house insurance companies. They had to be careful because if another fire started they could lose a lot of money. To get around this, they ended up hiring their own fire brigade just in case a fire did start! This is when the first brigade started."
"It sounds a bit hit-and-miss, Petula!" remarked Kaplan.
"It was, yes. Any of the insurance companies' fire brigades weren't allowed to put out a fire of a house which was insured with a different company!"
"They'd just watch it burn, then, Petula?"
"Well—I guess that was how it went, Kaplan, yes!"

Have you ever seen such a substantial cloud, a cloud with so much personality it almost seems as if it could talk to you? What would it say if it began to speak? Would it tell you where it formed, what it had seen as it travelled across the great blue sky, would it be able to say where it was headed and what it would do when it arrived?

@ A Day In A Balloon
"Wind speed is measured with a device called an anemometer. There's a project here for making an anemometer, Petula. We could try it out tonight when we get back to the accommodation."
"Goodness, Priya! Isn't it terribly technical and scientific to do that?" queried Petula.
Priya studied the diagram helpfully provided in the brochure. "Nah. It seems to be made of empty yoghurt cartons and stuff. We'll give it a go!"
A Day In A Balloon
Oh, what fun! We are all going on a balloon ride—high in the air. The pets have packed their favourite snacks and brought their scarves—in case the air is cool. They are chattering and chirping about what they might see once the balloon is in the air.

There are blustery days and snowy days, but I think this type of day would make a particular little donkey happy. Not everyone will love a grey day—on the bright side—when the sun does break through, it is such a delight that the dim greyness was worth it.

I wonder how many rainbows are in the sky—all over the world—at any given moment. Rainbows seem to bring a lot of happiness even if there is not a pot of gold at the end—maybe the real treasure is the joy they bring.

Walking down the street, marvelling at the flowers awakening to the spring warmth. The new buds on trees bloom into a dazzling array of blossoms delighting the senses and gladening the heart. These wonderful violet blooms adorning delicate branches are a welcome addition to the garden.
