First State Flag (Delaware)
Delaware was the first state to ratify the United States constitution and as shown on its flag, this was on December 7, 1787. Delaware became the first state in the Union, and is, therefore, accorded the first position in such national events as presidential inaugurations. The flag has a field of colonial blue with a large central diamond of buff colour. As for the elements of the flag, the ship represents commerce, and the wheat, ox, corn and the farmer symbolise the importance of agriculture to the state. The figure in green is a revolutionary war soldier. The words in the ribbon banner read Liberty and Independence. The flag was adopted on July 24, 1913.

The central features of the museum include Battery 519, six barracks buildings, a fire control tower, an orientation building, and the Fort Miles Artillery Park. The museum tells the story of Fort Miles, a key piece of the nation's coastal defence, from World War II through the early 1970s.

Choose a name was distracted by the sounds of loud rustling as Buddy unfolded a very large tourist map, in the course of which he succeeded in knocking Choose a name’s hat off. “Put that away, do!” said Choose a name, exasperated. “We’re about to pose beside this amazing scene—the picture will be of your map if you don’t fold it up PDQ!”
