Dot Dot is questing! Episode 1/25

Spring is such a lovely season on the farm. The snow has melted. Everything is coming into bloom and all the newborns can be seen off playing together and exploring their new surroundings. How wonderful such new beginnings can be. Dot Dot Why don’t you come play?

Dot Dot is questing! Episode 2/25

But what is wrong over in the chicken coop?!?! Poor Margaret is crying her eyes out! It seems the last egg she laid has yet to hatch. Worse, it even appears to be deformed! She can hear all the other animals talking about how she is at the end of her prime and that she is going to be shipped off the farm soon and this only makes her feel worse and cry harder. All this nonsense does not sit well with her partner Randy the Fire Rooster who asks Dot Dot for any suggestions. It may be a long shot but together they decide to take the egg on a trip to show it the best things in life in hopes of convincing it to hatch.

Dot Dot is questing! Episode 3/25

So together Dot Dot, Randy and Margaret gently pack the stubborn egg up into a horse drawn carriage and off they go on what they hope will be a great adventure with success. They cross their wings and eyes and ears. This has to work! It just has to!

Dot Dot is questing! Episode 4/25

The first stop they make is in the mountains to go camping. Who can resist camping? Sleeping on the ground. Waking up stiff and sore. Having your tent leak. Setting up on a rock. Smoke in your eyes. Wildlife stealing your food. What’s not to love?

Dot Dot is questing! Episode 5/25

So camping was a fail. So why not try a waterpark? Swimming is always great! Waterslides! Wavepools! Floaties! Was that a shark? And would you please stop splashing water in my face? OK, so perhaps waterparks are not the best place to bring eggs especially when they are heated. Hardboiled anyone?

Dot Dot is questing! Episode 6/25

Food! Food is the answer! Fine dining is always being promoted as one of the finer things in life. Surely, Eggie (we can call them Eggie right?) will appreciate fine (egg free) dining! Or not! Apparently one needs a mouth to enjoy food. And for that one needs to hatch. OOPS! And while we are at it, is that TOFURKEY on the table? Otherwise……blink blink

Dot Dot is questing! Episode 7/25

At a loss as to what to do Randy and Margaret decide it is time to make a phone call. Thankfully along the road they find an old school phone booth and call their dear old friend Bob to ask him his opinion. They want to know what the scariest thing Bob can think of is. Why you ask? If nothing else is working maybe they can scare poor Eggie into hatching.

Dot Dot is questing! Episode 8/25

According to Bob, and this should come as no surprise, the scariest thing is running out of treats. Coming in a close second though is CLOWNS! So off to the circus they go. Sadly there is no effect. Eggie is clown resistant.

Dot Dot is questing! Episode 9/25

Nothing is working! Is Eggie doomed to be Eggie forever? Is Margaret going to be shipped off the farm for good? Are nuggets in the future? This cannot be! Things are looking grim. It seems everything they try seems to fail. Nothing will get Eggie to hatch. They are just so tired and run down.

Dot Dot is questing! Episode 10/25

In desperate need of a break they find a café to get a little pick me up. Margaret takes a seat while Randy goes in to place the order. Sitting down saving the table Margaret realizes a newspaper was left by a former patron so she starts flipping through it to pass the time and distract herself. Hidden in the ads she learns some exciting news. In France of all places, at the Louvre is a special art exhibit that just may be the solution they have been looking for! She squeals with excitement and looks for Randy. He could hurry back with that coffee so she could share the news!

Dot Dot is questing! Episode 11/25

Randy finally arrives back with the coffee.
“Well that took forever! I have news! Look here!” exclaims Margaret. “This exhibit at the Louvre may be the key to everything! We have to go! And it is in France! Glorious FRANCE!!!!! I have always wanted to go to France! You promised to take me years ago and never have…”
“Ummm, umm, okaaaaayyy….we could try. But are eggs able to fly?”

Dot Dot is questing! Episode 12/25

So their next stop sent them to a travel agency. They need to get things arranged ASAP! They need to book the flight and hotel and get tickets to the exhibit. Oh no! What if they are no longer available?!?! Surely this special exhibit is going to be popular! Hopefully the travel agent can pull some strings and get them in.

Dot Dot is questing! Episode 13/25

RELIEF! Everything is booked. Their agent came through and got tickets arranged for everything. So they have decided to spend the night back on the farm to get a good night’s sleep. Due to it being a international flight that leaves at 6am they need arrive quite early at the airport so they opt for a quick dinner and tuck Eggie into bed in its cradle nest. They too will turn in shortly and hopefully get some sleep if they excitement lets them. Even if this does not allow Eggie to hatch at least they got a trip to France.

OHMIGOODNESS! Look at those planes! Which one do you think we will be on?!?! They are so massive! How do they stay in the air? It must be magic! Do you think the cabin pressurization will be ok for Eggie? We never really checked….

Dot Dot is questing! Episode 15/25

“Well Margaret,” Randy started speaking in a very phony French accent like one would hear in 1980s cartoons. “As my translate app says nous sommes arrivés."

Dot Dot is questing! Episode 16/25

With some difficulty due to Randy pretending to be fluent in French and relying on an app with a poor accuracy level and not wanting to allow anyone to help him they finally made it to their hotel. What should have taken 20minutes ended up being 2hours but they made it. And it has given Margaret more gossip for in the coop. Thankfully she took over and tipped the taxi driver.

Dot Dot is questing! Episode 17/25

To try to combat the jetlag they built in a day of free time before going to the Louvre. So how to spend it? Why not enjoy the best that France has to offer? A little sightseeing starting with a picnic sounds like the perfect start to a day. And BRING ON THE BAGUETTE!

There is no better way to see the countryside than on two feet or two wheel so with Eggie safely in the basket they took off to explore on bicycle. Hopefully the hills are not too tiring. They have a big day ahead of them!

And what better way to finish the first night in Paris, the City of Light, than dinner at the Base of the Eiffel Tower while enjoying the fireworks? It’s almost so romantic that one could forget the mission if not for lil Eggie sitting with them.

The hotel room is so wonderful. They should be trying to rest for tomorrow’s big adventure and the exhibit at the gallery but how can they? Look at the view?!?! How does one ever sleep here? Maybe having the espresso with dinner was a bad idea.

Finally! The day has arrived. This is it. If Eggie will ever hatch this has got to be the ticket! To prepare themselves they find a quaint little café to get some yummy pastries and much needed caffeine. Did we mention how beautiful Paris was and how hard it is to sleep?

The crowds are intense! Did you know it was a special Eggs exhibit? And outside they even have created special egg houses to display all the stunning eggs. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to see. Hopefully Eggie will appreciate this. Hopefully This will convince Eggie to hatch.

Dot Dot is questing! Episode 23/25

Stepping inside the gallery that features decorated Easter eggs and Pysanky Eggie starts to make some noise. Margaret and Randy look at each other in amazement. Could it be working? Realizing its true beauty Eggie cracks open revealing its true contents. When the appraiser in the gallery quietly tells Margaret her ‘offspring’ could be worth 8 figures she near falls off her feet.

Randy and Margaret are so happy the Eggie has finally hatched that they purchased a souvenir. But what did they purchase?
