Eragon and Starlight are excited to find out what is in store for them in the Autumn Experience! As they enter, they each receive a free map! It reads:
Fall Fairground North
All the fun of the fair is here to provide your pet with entertainment and thrills, from waterslide to big wheel. And has your pet a strong enough stomach for a death-defying rollercoaster ride? To help restore your pet's equilibrium after all the excitements of the fairground rides, there are stalls selling hot potato snacks, popcorn, toffee apples, candy and delicious cakes and other yummy delights made from the autumn harvest produce! We hope everypet will leave clutching at least one of the fun carnival novelties!

“That should keep me going till I get home tonight,” said Nicole to Eragon, while crumpling her used food container and placing it carefully in a litter bin.

Fairings is the traditional name for edible souvenirs sold at fairs throughout England. These ginger fairings became associated with Cornish fairs and are still popular in the region.

Marcus and Eragon bumped into each other at the food stand. “Granny used to make this for us when we were young,” said Marcus. “I wonder if this will be as good?”

Casper got carefully down from the ride, stumbling slightly and holding tightly onto the sides. "I say, you do look a bit green, Casper, old thing!" said Eragon. "I'm reminded of when you got seasick on our Crocodile Creek trip!"
"I was not seasick," said Casper with dignity. "I had merely eaten something that disagreed with me."

From the queue, fluffy nervously eyed the fairground ride whirling beside herself and Eragon. “What if the cable breaks?” she asked. “Oh, that won’t be a problem!” said Eragon airily. “They can always get another one!”

Whilst other pets were staggering dizzily off the ride, Asteroidea and Eragon decided to go round again!

Hair-raising Roller Coaster
The world's oldest roller coasters descended from specially constructed hills of snow in the gardens of palaces around the Russian capital, St Petersburg, in the 18th century. The slides were built to a height of between 70 ft - 80 ft (21-24 m), had a 50 degree drop. These slides became popular with the Russian upper class."Russian mountains" remains the term for roller coasters in many languages, such as Spanish (la montaña rusa), Italian (montagne russe), and French (les montagnes russes). Ironically, the Russian term for roller coaster, "amerikanskie gorki", translates literally as "American mountains."

Snipsnap and Eragon watched the antics on the waterslide as they stood in the line of pets waiting to board the next ride. "Remember when Foxy leant too far over the bridge in Meadowlands that time, and fell in the pond with a huge splash?" asked Eragon. "My stomach muscles ached from laughing for days!"
Sunset Thrills
As sunset falls, you enjoy the ever-changing view as you chug a little further upwards and then pause as each pod takes on its precious cargo of pets eager to enjoy the ride. Then when all the pods are full, the wheel starts to turn, building up speed!

Azinza and Eragon, meeting by the snack bar, shook paws before carefully choosing what they would have to eat. Everything looked so tempting!
