@ Tunnel of Maple Trees
Åge and Jazzabell are excited to find out what is in store for them in the Autumn Experience! As they enter, they each receive a free map! It reads:
Autumn in Amber
Autumn has well been described by Keats as the "Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness" and pets will here enjoy a ramble through woods with tumbling golden and orange leaves. They can gather hazelnuts, horse chestnuts and fruits, and perhaps forage for mushrooms and dill. Then there are vast fields of wild flowers to explore, and an opportunity to admire the sunset while resting by a rustic barn. Watch your paws or claws crossing the river on the stepping stones—but perhaps splashing in the swirling water is part of the fun!

As you near this autumn realm and hear the thunder of the falls close by, you get to walk through a vividly colorful tunnel of maple leaves with the light of the evening sun at the tunnel's end to attract you further.

@ Silhouette of Flowers at Sunset
Åge and Cutey Purr were so rapt gazing at the scenery they almost forgot to shake paws before moving on to the next stage!

As you step out of the tunnel of fall-colored leaves, you are greeted with even more beauty to behold as you see flowers silhouetted by the setting sun. Now you know that the day's journey is almost done!

@ Sunset Across the Field
“What an amazing view!” exclaimed Åge after shaking paws with Grace, who agreed with him. Åge was excited to meet up again with Grace. They both took a moment to admire the amazing scene around them.

As you look further past where you are now standing, you see a vast farm field to cross with welcoming trees and hillsides awaiting.

“Let’s pose with one of us at each side and I’ll set the self-timer to take a shot,” said Åge to CUPID. “It’ll be a wonderful souvenir of our time here!”

You pause for a moment to make sure that the pictures you've been taking of your breath-taking journey today have been capturing what your eyes have been seeing. Even though there is so much beauty for just two eyes to take in, you are pleased with your photos thus far, especially of the light at the end of the tunnel of maple trees!

@ Handful of Horse Chestnuts
Åge and seema shook paws before sitting down to enjoy an autumnal harvest snack. “There’s nothing like farm-fresh food, is there, Åge?” said seema.

Not only were you enveloped with maple trees, but you also saw some chestnut trees mixed within, and so you grabbed a handful of chestnuts as a souvenir!

@ Bouquet of Fall Flowers
"Sugar, was that last one we looked at a thorn bush with roses? Or a rose bush with thorns?" asked Åge.

As you left the woods, with another tree line to your left, you noticed some large blooms of wildflowers along the edge of the trees, and so you picked a few to spruce up your room when you settle in later in the evening.

@ Fragile Flowers
On his way round The Autumn Experience, Pyron Toothless bumped into Åge. They both paused to drink in the beautiful scene before them before going on to the next location.

As you continue through the field, you choose to leave the daintier purple flowers alone, simply enjoying their fragrance and their beauty in the evening sun.

@ White Rose and Pink Daisy
“What’s this flower called?” Åge said to Josie. “Er—I only know the Latin name for it,” said Josie and hastily changed the subject.

With all of the flowers you are admiring, you almost forgot the ones you picked up in the autumn realm of green that morning. You check to be sure they are still fresh - and they are! - and remember that you have a note to fill out for tonight's host.

@ Wild White Mushrooms
“Great to meet you again, Mystique!” said Åge. “Come and have some of this farm-grown organic food—it’s absolutely yummy!”

Continuing on the path, you notice along the tree line something white. Not sure if you were seeing flowers, you approach and find that they are wild mushrooms, the edible kind, and so you grab a few to add to a possible stew later in the evening!

Åge was very happy to meet BRUNO here! They both swapped tales of their experiences of their travels so far!

“My uncle grows these in his back garden,” observed Åge.
“Wow! He must surely have green fingers!” replied POPPE.

@ Running River After the Waterfall
Åge tumbled out of the Autumn Experience tourist bus, almost flattening Buddy in the process, then he wondered where the muffled groans were coming from!

As you look to your left, with the waterfall thundering to your right, you see how swiftly the river runs past you as you ensure you have enough stepping stones to get across. One wrong step and you may be staying somewhere further south than you planned!

@ Orange You Glad It's Snack Time?
B. Ugger and Åge, after shaking paws, admired the crop of harvest produce in front of them. “I didn’t know it looked like that just after harvest,” said Åge. “I’ve only seen it in the shops!”

As you settle in on your second rock in your river crossing, you remember that your host from last night in the autumn realm of green gave you fresh oranges plucked right off of a tree in their own backyard! Time to get refreshed!

@ Fallen Leaves Floating By
Åge and Choose a name Thisisme were entranced at reaching this stopping place and eagerly posed for a picture!

As you make your way to the next rock, you noticed flower blooms and leaves floating by. The leaves may have fallen from trees and were blown into the water, perhaps before the waterfall. You stretch out your paw and snag a twig of orange-colored leaves to stick out of your backpack!

@ Plucked Flowers Floating By Too!
“These make a fine display, don’t they, Åge?” said Mitsy, when she and Åge had shaken paws.

After you cross to your next rock, with the shore almost within reach, you decide to add to your collection of souvenirs by grabbing some of the plucked blooms floating by and wrapping them in paper for safe keeping. These were put in the water by young pets in the autumn realm of green, hoping they would float and float for a long distance.

“Great to meet you again, grey!” said Åge. “Come and have some of this farm-grown organic food—it’s absolutely yummy!”

As you jump and thump from rock to rock, you check your supply of hazelnuts after noticing you hadn't closed your container as well as you thought! Whew! Most are still there!

@ Red and Yellow Flower
"I think I'll take a cutting of the plant in that tub over there," said Åge. The label says it's 'vigorous' and 'fearless'."
Milo sniffed. "That's gardeners' talk for 'an invasive species that will take over your entire garden if permitted'!"

As you land on the last rock, you notice a huge bloom coming your way on the water. It bumps into the rock, making it an easy grab with your paw!

@ Almost there!
Sunshine was hailed by Åge, who had also just arrived on the scene. “What a great view, Sunshine!” said Åge. “I could stay here for hours!”

As you step onto the shore, you continue to enjoy the sunset and notice the host home close by! What a welcome sight after a long, but joyful day of hiking into a new realm!

@ Meadow of Yellow Flowers
Åge opened his rucksack to change his hat. Ladybug could see Åge had a baseball cap, a sombrero, a beret, a straw boater, a cricket cap, a sou'wester, a large, floppy sunhat and a pith helmet!
“Did you bring a mortarboard too?” Ladybug asked Åge.

With the waterfall and river now roaring on your right, the gentleness of the sunset upon a meadow of yellow flowers, which appear to be even more yellow from the sun's rays, calm your soul as you near your goal!

@ Fading Sun Rays
“What an amazing view!” exclaimed Åge after shaking paws with Wee Willie, who agreed with him. Åge was excited to meet up again with Wee Willie. They both took a moment to admire the amazing scene around them.

On your left is another tree line through which you see some of the last rays of the sun poking through the fall leaves. This makes you feel even more relaxed!

@ Green Leafed Plant
“I’m going to have to spend a lot of time when we get back looking up what all these flowers are!” said Åge to Hope.

As you pass this patch of growth, you pluck a few sprigs in hopes of decorating up the doorway or the table of the home where you'll lay your head down soon.

Åge is enjoying the Autumn Experience when Silver comes along. "Look! A special prize!" says Silver. Åge looks down and sees something valuable. Silver generously lets Åge keep it!
