@ Sled Dog in Training Thomas and Ivory have been given a free map to help them enjoy their Winter Tour! Before unfolding it, they read the cover: Winter Wildlife A cute little fellow greets the pets this morning to herald the arrival of the morning's transport. The pets will pass wintry landscapes and greet all kinds of wildlife. They have the opportunity to explore bridges, a forest, a river and a snowbound wooden cabin before heading home in the sunset to that night's lodging. While passing the lumber store, they meet two more appealing little creatures keeping out of the cold. The pets then go inside for welcome bowls of soup and wind up their day by creating hot drinks with special chosen garnishes. Sled Dog in Training This pup may be young but he will learn much just by running alongside the team and hearing the musher call out the directions. Some day he may even be the lead dog.

Eagerly jumping in their harnesses, the sled dog team lunges forward at the sound of the driver's command to "Hike!" The sled glides along the snowy path effortlessly thanks to the well-trained team. What seems like work to us is actually a great source of joy for a sled dog. Every time a musher decides to go out, every dog in the kennel is excitedly barking and jumping, hoping they get chosen to be on the team.

Snowy Bench Hikers welcome a sight such as this during a long, snowy trek. Chances to sit for a bit to rest are far and few between on the trails. Benches in places like this are usually erected in memory of a loved one who enjoyed the outdoors or as an eagle scout project.
