@ Canopy of Maple Leaves
Kaleaha and RUMLIA are excited to find out what is in store for them in the Autumn Experience! As they enter, they each receive a free map! It reads:
Autumn in Green
Harvest-time in the countryside—what better time can there be? On this part of the tour, pets will start in a shady wood and have a picnic by an old country barn before continuing. They will discover an open air market of farmers' produce and be able to choose from the displayed apples, grapes, coffee beans, strawberries and chillies before viewing the coffee berries still growing. There are views of cornfields and flowers before finishing with a stroll along the river to admire the autumnal foliage.

As you stroll into this small village and begin to look around, don't forget to look up or you might miss the beautiful fall leaves overhead!

@ Path Leading to a Special Place
Kaleaha thought the scenery at this new stop was lovely and asked Norris if it would be possible to set up camp for the night!

@ Weathered Barn
While Kaleaha paused to enjoy the view, Sophia started scrabbling in her rucksack for her portable, folding camping chair. “What are you doing with that, Sophia?” asked Kaleaha. “We’ll need to get going in a minute or we’ll be left behind!”

This autumn village is rich with history as you see the various wooden structures hand-built with time and effort, each board no doubt having a story to tell.

@ Sparkling Dew Drops
Kaleaha opened her rucksack to change her hat. Nutsy Mouse could see Kaleaha had a baseball cap, a sombrero, a beret, a straw boater, a cricket cap, a sou'wester, a large, floppy sunhat and a pith helmet!
“Did you bring a mortarboard too?” Nutsy Mouse asked Kaleaha.
Sparkling Dew Drops
This autumn realm lays at the bottom of several hillsides, causing its grasses to still have dew on them even at noon, as you (and your shoes) soon discovered upon your arrival.

@ Prairie Grass Before the Woods
Kaleaha and Shelby agreed that the variety of scenery on their Autumn Experience trip was the best ever! They exchanged opinions on which their favourite scene had been so far, and which was the most delicious harvest food they had eaten in their travels!

As you enter the village, you recall the beautiful prairie grass that preceded the woods, as each blade of grass, gently swaying back and forth with the breeze, began to melt the stress off your shoulders.

@ Flourishing Florist
"This is a glorious specimen, Icy", observed Kaleaha. "What a shame that in a month or so all this colour will be gone!"
"You know the best way to get colour in your garden all year, Kaleaha?" said Icy. "Buy a garden gnome!"

At the end of the fence and treeline leading into the village, you encounter the local florist and the special roses being cultivated. This is perfect as it allows you to purchase a rose to take to your host for the evening!

@ Bouquet of Roses
“My uncle grows these in his back garden,” observed Kaleaha.
“Wow! He must surely have green fingers!” replied Lalique.

@ Strawberry Patch
“I hope we can buy more of this at our local farmer's market,” observed Kaleaha, as she and get-a-job-bring-me-a-mouse-and-a-20 tucked into a delicious food sample!

As you continue into the village you see behind some of the market stalls and produce wagons a strawberry patch with just ripened and delicious strawberries ready for the picking!

@ An Abundance of Chili Peppers
Kaleaha and Eevee shook paws before sitting down to enjoy an autumnal harvest snack. “There’s nothing like farm-fresh food, is there, Kaleaha?” said Eevee.

One produce cart that you didn't expect to see was an overflowing cart of a variety of chili peppers, something that the locals love to munch on as an afternoon snack, as well as use in their favorite recipes.

Snarky and Kaleaha shook paws with each other and compared notes as to how their respective trips had gone so far, and which was the most delicious harvest item they had each come across.

“This reminds me of Meadowlands,” observed Kaleaha, musing as she and Rosie took a moment to admire the produce beside them. “Such a lovely, peaceful scene.”

One market stall sells unique flowers, such as the Chinese lantern, the orange leaves of which form a protective cover for the plant's simple white flowers and poisonous fruit (when unripened - but not very tasty even when ripe!), which makes the orange leaves the real attention-grabber!

Kaleaha and Lacy shook paws before sitting down to enjoy an autumnal harvest snack. “There’s nothing like farm-fresh food, is there, Kaleaha?” said Lacy.

“I’m going to try growing these at home!” announced Kaleaha, after she and Meowchi had tucked into some yummy organic harvest food!

Kaleaha was excited by seeing all the different harvest produce. “I’m going to apply for an allotment and start growing my own food!” he announced to milo, when they met and shook paws.

While the red and green coffee berries sound very appealing, you may just want a regular cup of coffee, made with the finest of beans. The beans are freshly ground for your specific order, so you know that it's going to be fresh and good!

"RUMLIA, was that last one we looked at a thorn bush with roses? Or a rose bush with thorns?" asked Kaleaha.

Upon arriving at your night's lodgings, you present the arrangement of roses to your hosts, thanking them for their hospitality. A tradition in this autumn realm is to present any lodgers with a rose as well - so you find it very enjoyable to have the flower's wonderful fragrance to be in your room too!

@ Double Rainbow Dream
Kaleaha and COVID-19 had shaken paws and took some time to enjoy the super view in a companionable silence!

As you lay your head down for a good night's rest, you find yourself dreaming of the double rainbow you saw as you approached the outlying prairie. It made you feel like you were in for a double blessing once you came into the village.

“You know, Cicero said 'If you have a garden and a library you have everything you need',” mused Tumbler.
"I don't think I've met Cicero," said Kaleaha. "Is he on this tour?"

The next morning after breakfast, you begin to head out for the next autumn realm and are blessed with seeing soft, small yellow flowers opening to the sun's rays while a very faint mist begins to lift.

@ The Village Pond
"Put your camera down for a minute, Kaleaha," said Sour Puss, "and just drink in that view!"

As you begin to make your way out of the village and back towards the woods, you take the time to stop by the village pond with its quiet waters and reflections of the morning's sunrise. You even take a moment to skip a stone or two!

Kaleaha thought the scenery at this new stop was lovely and asked Puddle Rumchuckle if it would be possible to set up camp for the night!

A little further along the shore and you are blessed with the fall colors that greeted you the day before, only this time it is a blessing that's doubled as these colorful trees are mirrored upon the still waters of the village pond.

Kaleaha and Choco pooled their silver moles, hoping to buy a small souvenir or two to remind them of this beautiful place!

As the sun continues to rise, it lends its light upon the many trees that make up the wooded border of this autumn realm. You are glad for the day you had in the quiet village, but are excited for the new possibilities that lay beyond the woods!

@ Prairie Grass Awaits
Skye shook paws with Kaleaha and was just enjoying the view when she was distracted by loud rustling as Kaleaha unfolded a very lengthy Autumn Experience itinerary, in the course of which she succeeded in knocking Skye’s hat off. “Put that away, do!” snapped Skye. “I’m about to take a photo of this amazing scene—the picture will be of your map if you don’t fold it up pronto!”

You once again enjoy feeling the gentle prairie grass against your paws and seeing its many unique colors as you make your way through its tall blades towards the dirt road you had just left yesterday.

@ Flowers Dripping with Morning Dew
"I wish I knew more about horticulture, Listy" said Kaleaha. "Sometimes I can't tell if something's a plant or a weed!"
"Oh, there's a sure-fire way of telling the difference, Kaleaha! Pull on it—if it comes out of the ground easily, it's a really valuable plant.”

As you reach the end of the prairie grass, you again experience the sparkling dew of the morning mist as it lingers on some of the realms' outer flowers. It has been a good journey!!

Kaleaha is enjoying the Autumn Experience when Lucky comes along. "Look! A special prize!" says Lucky. Kaleaha looks down and sees something valuable. Lucky generously lets Kaleaha keep it!
