Then at the GeoCenter Møns Klint you can see dinosaur reconstructions, watch 3D films and visit an excavation cave to try your hand at being a real life palaeontologist."

Toby considered this. "Flag of Denmark. White cross on a red field. You know, when I can't sleep, I list in my head all the national flags in the world that use red and white only—there's about twenty of them, you know. Then I go on to blue and white—I'm digressing. I don't know; what's the answer?"
"The Danish flag, the Dannebrog remains the oldest state flag in the world still in use by an independent nation. It has been recognised as in use from 1219," replied Blossom.
Denmark Wetlands
With a rime crusting over the water lapping at the shoreline, the Wadden Sea is the longest continuous stretch of natural wetlands in Europe, this stretch is in Ribe.

"It says here that Aarhus is reputed to be Denmark’s happiest city and one can see why on a city break to Aarhus. First of all, it is small, attractive and easy to get around. It’s close to beaches and forests. Plus it’s packed full of cultural events and attractions such as the ARoS Art Museum and the cultural center DOKK1," said Blossom.

"Well, we certainly came across it this time last year in the Huskies, Hijinks and Hygge experience! We had some very cosy chats with all the pets over hot chocolate by the fire every evening in our accommodation!" replied Esperanza.

The Island of Møn is in the Baltic Sea and is a must-see for any nature lover! Check out this scenic 4-mile route of chalk cliffs about two hours' drive from Copenhagen -- there are amazing views from the top of the cliffs.

"According to our tour guide, Laila Lu, the two oldest amusement parks in the world are in Denmark! How's that for a fun fact? Denmark is home to the world's oldest amusement park, Bakken, as well as the second oldest one, Tivoli Gardens. Bakken is just a short 20 minute train ride from Copenhagen central station and Tivoli Gardens is located just on the opposite side of the street from the station in the centre of Copenhagen."

Gjógv, Faroe Islands
Gorge, named after a 200-metre sea-filled gorge that travels north to the sea. The village was first mentioned in 1584 but it is thought to have been in existence a lot longer. The Gjógv incline railway is the only operating railway in the Faroe Islands and it was installed to transport goods from boats.

There are no native trees on the Faroe Islands. There is evidence that there may have been some stands of Birch and Hazel before human settlement. There are a few stands of trees that have been planted between 1800 and 1900. This location was also used in the James Bond movie, No Time To Die, and one can see why it was chosen.

"In the 1840s, some Austrian bakers settled in Denmark and introduced the now well-known and much-loved pastry. For this reason Danish pastry is actually called wienerbrød or 'Viennese bread' in Denmark."

The Faroe Islands are an archipelago in the North Atlantic Ocean. Situated halfway between Norway and Iceland. With 1,100 km (687 mi) of coastline, no point in the Faroe islands is further from the sea than 5 km (3 mi). There is no shortage of incredible landscapes.

The Highland cow is the oldest registered breed of cattle in the world. They have a double coat, the shaggy, oily outer coat covers a softer, fluffier undercoat so the cows keep warm and dry in chilly, wet weather.
