Whir, bzzt. M.E.O.W. H.E.L.L.O! I am your new cat robot.

A very clever scientist that lives over by the wizard’s tower was tinkering with some gears and things called motherboards and, I don’t know what all else, but somehow a bit of magic escaped from the wizard’s tower and combined with all the bits and pieces that the scientist had laid out on the workbench, and this new robot was formed.

This robot cat can do most of the things that real cats can do, though its purr sounds a lot like an old computer starting up; plus, it can answer difficult mathematical questions, should you ever need such information. Also, this robot can tell you the best ways to cook fish.

I am not sure what the scientist had planned, but this is how it turned out.

Wibble...Wobble... Look out below! *plop* No one appreciates how hard it is to be a giraffe when you've got a terrible fear of heights. The other calves all laugh at me...but I remember when I was born...that was quite a long drop and I've had vertigo ever since. I kind of hope I don't get any taller, but my Aunt April says I'm still in for some growth spurts, unfortunately. (She lives in New York State, and she's sort of famous, my aunt...I'll have a cousin soon, they tell me... anyways, you can google it if you want. Whatever. She's just Aunt April to me. Just an ordinary giraffe. But at least she doesn't get dizzy spells like me.) At any rate, my legs are still a little shaky, but I know if you stand with me, I'll be as steady as a rock. A very tall rock. Just don't ask me to go on the merry-go-round.

You turn a corner and run straight into some pet. “Oof, sorry, I was going too fast and did not see you.”
You look up; it is none other than the mysterious black cat.
You jump back as she raises her sabre. She makes toward you. “There he is, quick, follow me. I see you found a sword.”

The mysterious black cat begins to run, and you run after her.
“Why are you doing this?” you huff as you try to keep up.
The mysterious black cat suddenly stops and looks at you with a gleam in her eye. “Did I not tell you? I want to invite him to lunch.”
“What! You are chasing this orange cat all over PnF land to invite him to lunch. I thought he had done some unspeakable crime.”
“Oh, no,” laughed the mysterious black cat. He is an outstanding orange cat, and I am quite fond of him, but I can never find him, and it is a long time since he and I compared notes and had a cozy chat.”

You wave off the mysterious black cat in the high red boots. “Go! I don’t want to follow you anymore. I hope you find the orange cat. All this for a lunch date.” You turn and walk away, shaking your head. The mystery is solved.

This is no ordinary pup. While the cute lil one may look like a regular sweet and innocent pooch for you and your friends to play with you should know this pup and its relatives have been known to have strange powers. With one look of their beady eyes they can capture and trap your heart. One soft whimper and you will give in to their every demand. They just want to play and have fun but once you introduce them to your family know that you are theirs!

When you see that trick working seamlessly, there’s a happy little bunny behind it, and a magician who knows how to take care of his staff! Crispy carrots, a snug burrow, and ample vacation pay go a long way (not to mention maternity leave, that’s a must!)
Well, since coming to PnF, the resident magician is a rabbit so of course, having been “in the business” makes for a very understanding boss, happy magic bunnies, and great tricks!

*peers out from around the corner* Is it safe to come out yet? I thought I heard a big, scary monster out here. I’m just a tiny little critter and big noises and crowds can be a scary thing. I dream of big things though. Every night I dream I become an elephant and stroll through the savannah. I awaken in the morning and face the mirror, “You iz strong! You iz BIG! You IZ an ELEPHANT!” Momma always said to dream big.

I am a Canadian wolf pup but in some places I am also called a grey wolf or timber wolf. No matter which name you prefer, I would love to tell you all about my family. The wolf pack I belong to consists of my mom and dad, four adult brothers and sisters and five littermates. Wolves are very social animals and the bonds of family are very strong within our pack. We live in remote areas of the wilderness throughout the continent of North America and try to avoid the neighboring packs as they are not very friendly and do not like visitors. I think they are relatives of The Big Bad Wolf of storybook lore. We love visitors though and you are welcome to stop by any time. We will make you an honorary pack member and my mom and dad can even teach you how to howl. Howling has many uses and it's a really important skill. We use it to gather the pack before a hunt, to warn or locate one another, and to communicate long distances throughout our vast territory. I am still learning; the only sounds I am able to make are little dog-like yelps and it makes me giggle every time those funny noises come out. I know I will be able to howl someday, but until then I will just keep practicing. Arrrooooooo!

Ah, the fleurpet, a most interesting find nestled deep in the universe on a double-sun planet affectionately named Zinnia. We weren’t sure (at first!) if a fleurpet was a flower or a pet, but we’re pretty sure it’s the cutest find this side of the universe! Fleurpets grow in clusters and are rather chatty little things, always eager to greet the light of morning and throw their petals and leaf-dressed arms wide open. To best care for your fleurpet, we recommend at least two of the same, with lots of cheery sunshine and the occasional nourishing rain.

Perhaps I deserve to wear a tiara as I feel rather regal dressed in my lovely green cape. I hold my head up with pride and prance around with confidence. I love to bask in the sun and enjoy vertical climbs but dressed in my cape you can take me to the opera any day. There I can listen to sopranos, tenors and everything in between. If I am very lucky, I might be able to have a snack from under the seats if any silly bugs decide to appear.

Mmmm, good morning! (yawns) So nice to see you here in my big blue ocean! Please, enjoy the vast waters I call home. Someone of my size needs quite a bit of room to travel in, I’m the largest animal living on this big blue orb! I love to sing and play, my splashes can be seen for miles around in the ocean. People see me and sometimes think I must eat big things, but the truth is I love to spend my days swimming and sucking up the tiny plankton floating on the ocean waves. One of my favorite pastimes is to swim down deep in the ocean, holding my breath and visiting other deep ocean dwellers. It’s going to be a great day, so come splash along with me!

The children of Nevada voted for this design for the 2006 Nevada quarter. Featuring snowy mountains in the back with the sun rising over the peaks, three wild Mustangs running on the plains, sprigs of the state flower, sagebrush, is shown on either side. This is a striking design for the Silver State.

Keeping time has always been a hobby of mine. I'm the cuckoo, and welcome to my humble clock. I'm a creature of few words, but my commentary is profound. I am king of the jungle and proud to say so! Lions are quite social compared to other big cats, and we lions live in prides. Did I say 'pride'? I am vain and I will flaunt my bountiful mane around other males, so that they know I am the one who is King.

I will admit though, I am quite lazy, and while I spend almost 20 hours of the day sleeping, I make sure the females are out hunting for the rest of us! But hey, I’m allowed to be whatever I want, right? I am King, after all!

This bird will turn you in for a handful of seed and an Atta’boy!
