What could be sweeter than gently falling rain on a calm day? Admittedly I may be biased here, of course!

The wind is blowing, the rain is lashing down - oh my! But don't worry. Just think how well your vegetables will grow after I've gone.

What could be cuter than a big fuzzy spider? Well, lots of things could! I’m not in this crummy store for my cuteness, you know? I’m suppose to be scary enough to make a Pet’s skin crawl. Hang on there, why are you running away?

It’s cold outside, but you are warm inside your home. Because your window was exposed to warmth on one side and cold on another, frost has covered your windows. It is beautiful, isn’t it? Come closer. Stick your nose on the window and see if you can see the ice patterns. Quickly! Before the sun melts them!

The sky is darkening as grey nimbus clouds form overhead. You rush to bring in the clothes that are drying on the line before the first drops begin to fall. Thirsty plants prepare for happy hour where the drinks are free and completely refreshing. The timpani of heaven thunder as the storm clouds release their cargo of rain on the parched earth. Lightning flashes illuminate the sky in a glorious display. The soothing rhythm of raindrops on the rooftop relaxes every muscle in your body. What a perfect opportunity for a nap!

The gentle pitter-patter of raindrops on the window doesn't have to be the harbinger of a grey mood. The sound of rain is one of the most relaxing sounds in nature. Curl up on the window seat with a good book, your pet and a cup of warm tea and escape to destinations far and wide.

Heavy rain is falling, and tree branches are breaking as the gale hits shore. Close your shutters, stay indoors, and pray that no boats are out on the water.

Steady offshore winds have churned the ocean into swell, and huge waves are cresting before they reach the beach. Grab your surfboard, swim out, and ride the barrels inside the ocean surf. What a rush!

Strong winds are stirring rising tide waters into surges, and dark clouds are rolling in. As the ocean starts to vent its rage, you rush to shore, secure your boat in the marina, and find shelter from the coming storm.

Rocky promontories jut out into the rushing river, constricting the flow of water into roaring rapids. Courageous extreme adventurers don helmets and life jackets to experience the thrill of white water rafting. The rest of us will enjoy the beauty of these invigorating rapids from the shore.

On a warm sunny day, without a cloud in the sky, the sea is a plane of shimmering glass. The slightest hint of a breeze begins to blow, coaxing the slumbering ocean into gentle lapping waves. What perfect weather for kayaking and canoeing.

In the still of the quiet of deep night, a tiny glimmer lights up the distant horizon. Creeping slowly, the light inviting friends to join in the quiet dance of dawn. Gathering strength, the light reaches higher in the early morning sky, bringing with it the promise of a new day and untold stories.

One of the true delights of fair weather is watching fluffy white cumulus cloud shapes, etched by an invisible artist on a vast canvas of blue sky. Cloud watching is best done with a good friend, lying on your backs or sitting comfortably. You see an elephant; your friend sees an angel. You both say “Train” at the same time and have a good laugh. Your friend spots an ice cream cone, and you see a hamburger. It must be time for lunch. Who knew that so many joyous hours could be spent just watching cumulus clouds on a sunny day?
