Bob and Scaredy Cat are taking a quiet moment to raise awareness and reduce the stigma around Mental Health Issues. Mental health, including our emotional and social well-being, is just as important as physical health. It affects how we feel, think and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood. Sadly mental health goes unaddressed, even when we sense someone is struggling. But you can learn the warning signs, know the risk factors and bravely have a real conversation with someone you care about.

This week our art challenge is requested by one of our members in light of recent deaths of celebrities (or loved ones) who lost their battle with mental health disease. Lets remind others who are struggling that they are not alone! People care, even if nothing is said. Does your community have a crisis number such as 988 to call for help? How would you help a friend or family member going through a crisis? What would you want others to know about how they can be there for you when you're in crisis mode? Lets put our creative minds together and talk away the dark through our art. Also don't forget that even though May is the official Mental Health Awareness month, every month there is something going on worldwide tackling specific mental health issues. We each hold an inherent value, no matter our diagnosis, appearance, socioeconomic status, background or ability.
