scaredy cat is feeling a little unsure of himself today. every once in a while he is very aware of how different he is because of how scared he is about most things. he really wishes he could be like everyone else and not be so nervous all the time. kaida pins an autism awareness ribbon onto her friend's collar and tells him that he's going to be ok and assures him that everyone has their own individual differences. she goes on to explain that april is autism awareness month and the pets are showing their support for this disorder by donning the colorful ribbons. she continues by saying that the besides promoting autism awareness, it is also to encourage friends and collaborators to become partners in movement toward acceptance and appreciation. just look around you scaredy cat! look at how different some of our friends are! we love them whether they look and act like us or not and we should be teaching others how to do the same.

this week we are promoting autism awareness. april 2nd was autism awareness day but it is promoted all month long. how can your pet teach others that those with autism need to be accepted just like anyone else? is your pet different too? is your pet misunderstood? does your pet have problems with everyday activities? maybe they can show others how easy they can find ways to include those misunderstood pets into the fun and games they play!
