Scaredy Cat and Kaida have returned from the library where they attended a very informative lecture about heart health. As they learned how to practice heart healthy habits, they also learned that there is a day in February where many will wear red to show their support for the awareness of heart disease. In the USA, that day is typically on the first Friday of February, while others celebrate it later in the month. So to show his support, Scaredy Cat wears a red scarf and Kaida goes as far as to have her toe nails painted red! They want pets everywhere to be heart smart!!

This week, our theme is Wear Red Day to show our support of heart disease awareness. Being heart smart is important and we want your pets to be heart smart! How will they show their support? Will they put on a red scarf like Scaredy Cat? Maybe do things a little silly and wear a red nose like a clown? If they don't have something red to wear, maybe they can do a little decorating at home with red items! Hey - they can even go all out and "paint the town red"!! Show your support for heart disease awareness and add a little red to your life!
