Scaredy Cat, his baby sister Truffle and his loving comfort dog have gone to Weston Plaza to watch the parade that is going through town. Veterans Day is coming up and there's a parade to honor all those that have served in the armed forces. It coincides with other holidays, including Armistice Day and Remembrance Day, celebrated in other countries that mark the anniversary of the end of World War I. Often, small paper poppies are given out to pets to wear as a symbol of remembrance for those who fought and helped in the war. Scaredy Cat notices a grandfatherly figure wearing a poppy and learns that he is a veteran of the armed forces. Scaredy Cat holds out a paw in thanks.

This week, Veterans/Remembrance Day approaches and you'll probably see those famous paper red poppies being handed out and worn wherever you go. For this week's challenge, the main requirement is to use the red poppy in your art. While it would be nice to see you create a scene that commemorates the holiday, it is not a requirement. Just make sure that the red poppy is used in a creative way. This week it will be your choice.
