Scaredy Cat and Bob are joined by some of their friends on a trip to the local park. Today they learned that Earth Day is being celebrated on April 22nd and they want to do their part to help protect their home. All over the planet, there are celebrations and events to clean up the environment along with doing things to make it beautiful. While some pets are planting seeds to make more flowers grow, others are picking up trash that has been tossed aside instead of being placed in trash receptacles. Insects hover overhead spreading seeds and pollen that they have gathered along their fluttering travels. Scaredy Cat thinks this is a good day. He likes days like this.

This week we're celebrating our home - Earth! April 22nd is Earth Day - a day to demonstrate support for environmental protection that is celebrated in more than 193 countries each year. How can your pet get involved to help protect the Earth? Maybe your pet can start a recycling center in its neighborhood. Why not plant a tree? Or ride a bike with the query fish at least once a week? You could gather some friends with green thumbs (or paws) and start a community garden! Take some friends to the local park and have a clean up event - and then have some fun playing and having a picnic!! There are so many things your can do to help make Pets 'n' Friends land a better place to live for many years!
