Scaredy Cat was just getting ready for bed when he realized a very important day was coming up. How could he forget?!? Hug a Bear Day! It’s only one of the most important days honoring those treasured memories of childhood - cute and cuddly teddy bears. He quickly grabbed his favorite worn-out bear and gave it a great big hug and snickered at the thought of going into the woods to hunt down and snuggle a real bear. But what could he do to truly show his love and appreciation for his beloved bear? Perhaps breakfast in the morning would be a lovely mug of hot cocoa and some leftover chocolate mouse biscuits. No better hugs that that. Then they could spend the day together playing outdoors in the forest. Who knows maybe they will even meet a real bear! And while he thinks about it, maybe he will even invite Bob and his monster bear along for the fun. The more the merrier. Everyone should get a special hug.

This week we're going to celebrate Hug a Bear Day! There is nothing better in the world than hugging that special bear plushie. Hugging your bear brings warm, fuzzy feelings that can't be matched by anyone or anything in the world. How will you and your pet celebrate Hug a Bear Day? Do you have that one teddy bear that you can rely on no matter the occasion? Do you like to have play tea parties with your bear and its friends? How about a picnic in the park? Whatever you do with your bear (or even a bunny or monkey), I bet there's lots of hugs to go around! Spread the love and spread the hugs!!
