Scaredy Cat is sitting at the computer, looking at photos of Paris. He was supposed to be taking a trip there during Spring Break with his family, but due to the current worldwide health crisis, all international travel has been cancelled. He looks at photos on various websites that show just how beautiful the city is. He is in awe at the majesty of the Eiffel Tower, standing tall above the city center. Some of the photos give a panoramic view of Paris and its suburbs from the top. He isn't happy that he won't be able to go to Paris. But his teacher, while on a video class session, suggested to the students that they go on a Virtual Vacation. This is the kind of vacation that you can do from the comforts of your own home and you can use Virtual Reality (VR) apps or VR headsets. He has the headset and a few websites he can go to that will give him the feeling of being in Paris while he's still at home.

Well...we're all still stuck at home, not being able to go out other than for essential reasons: going to work (some employees are considered "essential" where they work), going to the pharmacy to pick up needed medications, going to the grocery store because you've run out of milk and eggs. And for some - plans to travel have been squashed and put on hold for a while. This week - we're going to travel - but virtually! March 30th is Virtual Vation Day! And we're going to take our vacations in our pajamas in the comfort of our homes. Let's go on a safari! Maybe you can go deep-sea diving and swim amongst the dolphins under the ocean! Always wanted to walk along the Great Wall of China? Well...you can do it virtually! Think of how many places you can visit without ever getting up from the sofa (other than to grab a snack or take a "nature break")!! What will you do? Where will you go? We'd love to see where you'll be going when you go on your virtual vacation!!
