12 Days of Christmas
lisa Scaredy Cat and Bob are starting to prepare for Christmas. While putting lights and baubles onto the tree, they hear the traditional song "The 12 Days of Christmas" playing on the radio. Scaredy Cat doesn't understand what the song is about. Who on earth wants things like 8 maids a milking and 3 French hens? And if you put all those Pipers piping and Drummers drumming in a room at the same time, there would be a lot of unwanted loud noise. Scaredy Cat can think of much better things to get for Christmas, like balls of wool and bowls of warm milk to dunk chocolate mice into. And let's not forget those lovely cans of flaky fish! Bob, being Bob, thinks any gifts involving sweet and treats are the best thing to get as Christmas gifts. Someone should seriously rethink that song.
This week's theme is about the 12 days of Christmas - but not about the actual song. Instead, we want you to tell us what your version of that traditional Christmas carol should be. You don't have to do all 12 days. Pick your favorite day to change. Maybe instead of a partridge in a pear tree, there could be a penguin in a pine tree. Instead of 2 turtle doves, there could be 2 chocolate turtles. 3 French hens? How about replacing them with 2 mama hens? Maybe you'd love if it had included 5 Platinum Paws in place of those 5 golden rings! Hey - we have some cool geese in our place - we can have 6 geese a-screeching instead of 6 geese a-laying! Let's hear your version of an old classic!!
