Scaredy Cat
Scaredy Cat is bored, so he has gone to Bob’s house. As he enters, all he can see is chaos! It looks like a tornado ripped through the house and just left things in a haphazard order. In the middle of the living room lies Bob.

Scaredy Cat asks what happened. Bob mumbles "this is my topsy-turvy world!! It's upside down, inverted, reversed, wrong side up, backwards, in a state of utter confusion! And for today, I love it!!! he exclaims.

"What is topsy-turvy?" asks Scaredy Cat (and why do you love it? he asks himself). "I'm getting dizzy just looking at all this mess. Topsy-turvy - is it even a word??”

Bob begins to explain. “Topsy-Turvy means a state utter confusion or disorder or being upside down. If you played the word “topsy-turvy” in Scrabble, it is not a word in the dictionary, but you would get 20 points! Isn’t that fascinating?” Bob asks.

"Well, you look topsy-turvy yourself" replied Scaredy Cat.

"I have a thought" said Bob, "why not make this week’s art challenge all about topsy-turvy things? It will be chaotic, messy and a whole lot of fun”

Well…. let’s go with Bob’s idea and make this week all about things being topsy-turvy! Let’s see if you can make your minds go topsy-turvy this week. When you hear the word “topsy-turvy”, what do you think of? A crazy looking cake? A wonderful upside-down house? Believe it or not, there are tourist attractions in many cities that have made this quite popular to visit AND people have had homes built upside-down (honestly!!)! There is also a theatre play by the name of “Topsy-Turvy” as well as a British musical film produced in 1999. Design your own amusement for pets to visit, upside-down, backwards, confused and in total disarray, to excite anypet! Even your mind can be topsy-turvy! Go crazy and show us your turvy interpretations. May you have fun creating them :)
