Scaredy Cat
Did you know March 9 is Barbie Day? Neither Did Scaredy Cat and Bob until recently. To celebrate, they watched the Barbie movie together, but Bob wanted to do even more. "Oh no" Scaredy Cat said out loud. "Bob tends to come up with some crazy ideas. Wonder what he is thinking of now?" At that moment, Bob suggests they dress up as Ken and Barbie then take the pink convertible out for a drive. "I will be Ken and you can be Barbie" he says. "Why do I have to be Barbie?" asks Scaredy Cat. Bob then informs him that Barbie is the star of the show! He then goes on to share that Barbie's full name is Barbara Millicent Roberts. She was born and raised in the fictional Willows, Wisconsin. "In that case, I would love to play Barbie" exclaims Scaredy Cat. "Let’s get rolling!"

Most of us grew up with Barbie Dolls using our imaginations with all her outfits and accessories to envision her in all sorts of places and situations. Barbie has been around for several decades. Ruth Handler, the co-founder of Mattel realized that girls needed more to play with other than paper and baby dolls, so Barbie was born March 9, 1959. How can your pets and hoomans celebrate Barbie Day? How about creating your own Barbie Doll in the editor? Maybe dressing your pets up like a Barbie Doll? Perhaps a Barbie party or fun scene on an adventure with Ken? The ever-popular Barbie Doll deserves this special day and has been celebrated since 2018. Let’s have fun this week celebrating all things Barbie!
