Dressed Up Pets
Scaredy Cat "What are we doing in front of the clothes shop?" asked Bob when he arrived to meet up at the Weston Park Plaza with Scaredy Cat and JJ. "Look closely" said Scaredy Cat "this is no ordinary clothes shop; it's a specialty clothes shop for pets." "Oh, is it that time if the year again? It’s when our hoomans dress us up and show us off to their friends?" Bob asked again. "Yes, it is!! It's National Dress Up Your Pet Day. I wonder what my hooman will choose for me this time and I can't wait to see JJ in her outfit too,” said Scaredy Cat. "You know what's fun? We can ask everyone at the community center to dress up their pets and bring them all to the center. Or if they couldn't do that, we can get them to do an art of their dressed up pets" Bob said. "That's a great idea. I really would love to see it in their art" exclaimed Scaredy Cat.
It's January 14th and it’s that time of year again pet parents! Fluff up your furry friends as the world gears up to celebrate National Dress Up Your Pet Day. Pets do become part of one's family. Polish your pup's pompoms and unleash their inner fashionista during this adorable holiday dedicated to celebrating our lovable, clingy family members. Whether you take a visit to the groomer or take it a step further and dress up in matching outfits, be sure your pet companion is safe and comfortable. Before choosing your cat's outfit, whether it's a regal queen or Cleopatra, or if your dog is more of a goofy explorer, here's everything you need to know about this special day.
Even though we're not exactly sure where the idea came from, it's believed to have started in the early 2000s. The day was first coined in 2009 by Celebrity Pet Lifestyle Expert and Animal Behaviorist, Colleen Paige. Every January 14th, pet lovers around the world celebrate Dress Up Your Pet Day with lots of excitement and love. The day encourages pet owners to have fun and connect with their furry friends by dressing them up in creative ways.
The name itself says a lot about the importance of this day. While it's undoubtedly a joyful time with cute images of pets in colorful outfits popping up in front of our eyes, there's more to it than just being adorable. The day serves as a boost for animal welfare: Many people who love pets use this day to talk about adopting pets and being responsible pet owners. It also encourages pet owners to be creative and have fun with their furry, scaly, or feathered friends. Additionally, taking some time from the hectic life schedule to invest in lighthearted activities is good for your health.
Let us see what kind of outfits you dress up your pet with and be creative in your art. Every type of pet could be dressed up, even your pet frogs. This year the most popular pet costumes include superheroes, pirates, and adorable food items like hot dogs and donuts. You’ve got hoomans knitting or crocheting hats for chickens!! So…Go crazy and let's dress them up in our art.
