Snakes

Scaredy Cat
"Gong Xi Fa Chai" yelled Scaredy Cat as soon as Bob entered his place. Bob was visiting and Scaredy Cat had prepared some light snacks for both of them. JJ was totally relaxing in her bed with some toys. The room looks so festive with some decorations of some sort.
"What is that? And what are we celebrating?" Bob asked.
"’Gong Xi Fa Chai’ is how Chinese greet each other for their Lunar New Year Celebration, and it's today! So, I decided to decorate a little bit" replied Scaredy Cat. "But that's not all that I want to tell you" added Scaredy Cat
"There's more?" Bob asked again
"You know how Chinese Astrology has their own zodiac signs right? Well, this year is the year of a Wood Snake,” said Scaredy Cat
"What's a Wood Snake?" Bob asked...again
"There are 12 zodiac signs in Chinese astrology, each possessing a unique set of qualities. Each year, an animal is paired with one of the five elements: gold, wood, water, fire, and earth. These elements complement and conflict with each other, but it is this ongoing interaction that is believed to promote harmony, balance, and order in the natural world. The unique qualities of a zodiac sign are often used to describe the personality traits of people born in that year. The Wood Snake is a charming, intelligent and creative sign, but also secretive, cunning and sometimes ruthless" explained Scaredy Cat proudly.
"Wow, you sure know a lot" Bob was amazed.
"It's nothing that google can't help…hehehe. Anyway, my point is, the zodiac signs are all animals and since it's the year of the snake, I would like it as a theme for our art challenge at the community center this week. We’ve rarely had a snake based theme for art. I guess they're not a popular animal, but I know of some hoomans who have snakes as pets and it's very interesting" Scaredy Cat continues on.
"That's sounds wonderful. Something just popped into my mind on what to draw for the art challenge. I can't wait to do it" Bob replied happily.

For this week’s art challenge theme, it's all about Snakes. Do you have a pet snake? What do you feed them and how do you prepare their abode? Do you know of a famous snake character? Have you ever seen or touched a live snake? The art can be anything related to snakes. Decorations, jewelry, nature, books, paintings…whatever that comes to mind. Let's celebrate one of the creatures of the world in our art.

Here's the basics:
* Your submission MUST be related to the theme
* You must submit your art to the PnF art gallery - only entries there will be counted.
