scaredy cat and kaida are at home with a couple of their new friends on this late autumn afternoon. outside there are some woodland creatures wandering about while the four friends exchange gifts. each pet brought with them something they knew one of the others would really want. even the scaly monster remembered that the mouse loved eating seeds and made sure not to eat them himself!! wait - exchange gifts? it's not anyone's birthday is it? it's not quite Christmas (even though it is coming really soon!!). why would they be exchanging gifts?

this week our theme is about giving. while it so nice to receive gifts, it is even nicer to be the one giving the gift. think about how it makes you feel when your best friend remembers how much you enjoy the cake from your favorite bakery. think of the smile on your mom's face whenever you give her a bunch of posies you picked on the way home from school. think of how you made your teacher smile when you placed that hand made card in front of her on her desk on the last day of school. we want you and your pet to show us all about giving.
