 | | Hi. My name is Scaredy Cat. If I looked scared, it's probably because I am. But often, when I'm scared, it's because I don't always do well with things outside of my comfort zone. And the main reason for that is because I was diagnosed as having Autism Spectrum Disorder. I am the first cat to have autism.
I am learning how to cope with the unknown and with things that make me nervous or afraid. I have a super support network - including my BFF, Bob the Blue Scaly Monster. Yes - he's my BFF and I am thankful for him.
I'm learning some coping skills so that I when I'm facing new situations, I don't get so upset or want to run and hide. One of the things that helps is my service dog, JJ. She is always there when I really need some reassurance.
I do like to go on adventures, despite the fact that they can be scary sometimes. If you join me, maybe we can support each other in those scary moments and find a way to have a great time! |
