school has started and mrs. octavia owl tries to get all the pets to settle down at their desks. the scaly monster brings mrs. owl a bowl of fruit, thinking that he'll be teacher's pet for sure. kaida has her pencil sharpened and is ready to learn the abc's so she can read and spell words. quazzle just sits and waits at his desk. scaredy cat - well he's trying his best to not be seen. he's not too fond of all this new stuff. he doesn't notice that he's not the only one who is scared. hiding under a desk in the front of the room is a little bunny. maybe if the two of them are paired up, they might find some courage and find that going to school is fun. mrs. owl thinks up a plan that may help.

this week - the pets are going to school!! their mommies and daddies have told them how much fun they'll have - especially when they have a teacher as nice and as smart as mrs. owl. the first day of school can be fun but scary too!! how will your little pet react on that first day of school? will they hide like scaredy cat and the bunny? will they run inside to see all the books lined up on the shelf? will they eagerly recite their abc's to show that they're really smart? maybe they can't wait for recess so they can go and play out in the school yard!!
