Since it was a beautiful early Spring day, Scaredy Cat and his new friend Sir W decided to take a leisurely walk in the nearby woods. For Scaredy Cat, this was another step in his efforts to become a braver kitty. Every pet knows that there are all sorts of scary things in the woods, like snakes and bugs and mean birds. It's a bit dark most of the time and there's so many strange sounds. As they go deeper into the woods, they come upon a bowl of strange looking chocolate treats. It looks like chocolate drops and chocolate mice. MMMmmm.....Scaredy Cat loves chocolate mice! But wait!! Scaredy Cat detects some sort of odd odor coming from the bowl. He sniffs and just as he figures out what the smell is, he looks over beyond Sir W and sees a small crowd of Evil Geese and a mysterious bunny in the distance, trying to hide behind a tree. Sir W is ready to sink his beak into a large, egg-sized piece of chocolate when Scaredy Cat frantically tells him not to eat it. Why? What's wrong? Scaredy Cat shares his suspicions and as Sir W looks at the hidden crowd, he realizes that somepet is trying to play a prank on them. But why? Aaaahhhhh....he gets it now! It's April Fool's Day! And if any pet is going to play pranks on this day, it's sure to be those pesky Evil Geese!!
Look out!! April Fool's Day is around the corner!! Look in all directions! Check your shoes! Lift the covers! Sniff your food and drink! There might be a pet who loves to play all sorts of pranks and jokes on unsuspecting pet friends! Or.....is your pet the sneaky kind who will put salt in the sugar bowl and plastic bugs under your covers? What kind of tricky things can you come up with to have some fun on April Fool's Day?
